He escaped from the dog trainer’s car.

Obviously his owner is distraught and desperate for his safe return. He is microchipped and he is a nervous dog.

Bert and Ernie are now with us after being rescued by the Inspectors. They were both severely underweight and in very poor condition but thanks to Greater Manchester Animal Hospital they are doing great now and will soon be ready for their new homes.

SPECIAL APPEAL

Meet Sweetpea and Djuma. These gorgeous girls came to us through a multi-cat household. Unfortunately we weren't able to rehome these for 10 months due to them being a part of a neglect case, along with 8 others who are now in their forever homes.

Since June 2024 they have been up for rehoming but had no applications :( We just don't understand this as they are the sweetest pair and have wonderful personalities. Sweetpea constantly craves attention and strokes. Djuma is a little more shy but as soon as she see's her sister having such a great time she's right behind her! They will both sit on your lap for hours enjoying head rubs and some treats.

Sweetpea is all black and 6 years old and Djuma is the smaller out the two and is 11 years old. They would make the greatest companions to any family or person. They have the cutest, most unique little meows that welcome you as soon as you open the door! They are so bonded to the point where they are joint at the hip. You will always find them cuddled up in bed or watching the world go by together

Happy Valentines Day from all our “couples” 🥰

Since coming to us nearly 3 weeks ago and fears he would not make it with severe flea anaemia, Candy has gone from strength to strength and his weight has doubled from 320g to 640g. We paired him with another kitten who wasn’t doing so well with bigger siblings bullying her and they are both now in an experienced foster home and both doing great. Think it’s fair to say to love each other. Sorry no rehoming enquiries just yet.

Will someone tell this kitten it’s 4 in the morning and not playtime! Good job he’s so cute 😻

Our Story

We are a separate branch of the RSPCA and as such are reliant on the generosity of the public to keep our very busy branch going, helping local animals in the Wirral and Chester areas. We deal mostly with cats and last year in 2017 we rehomed almost 950 cats and for every cat we rehome there are many others waiting for our help. We can only continue helping these animals with your support.

Or call in. We normally house over 100 cats and that is a lot of cat pouches so we are always grateful of cat food donations as well as blankets and towels (sorry we can’t take duvets and sheets)

We also have a charity shop based in our Animal Centre, and are always looking for good quality household goods to sell. (We can’t accept larger items as we don’t have space).
