Why do dogs mount?

Dogs mount for lots of reasons, and although natural it can become problematic especially in group environments like a doggy daycare .

Here a furry tails dog world Mounting is something we closely monitor.
If a dog in daycare is ever struggling with mounting we will always discuss this with you, and put a management plan into place to try and help you and the dog, as we know it can be a stressful time for everyone.... And if we feel daycare is too highly stimulating for your dog at a particular stage of their life we will always say as we want the best for your dog.

Here on some tips to help hu***ng:
- socialising from a young age
- exercise - to get rid of any excess energy
- remove any triggers
- distraction - to help them to stop repeating the behaviour
- neutering - this doesn't always work, but always seek a vets advice

Our 5* doggy day care centre offers the perfect environment for your puppy to grow and socialise. We know that it is critical that puppies are not over exercised and so the centre has been designed with your puppy’s needs in mind.

We have a dog trainer present every day, so you never know the tricks your puppy might learn! Because we are a positive reinforcement training company, you can feel happy in the knowledge that we know how to treat dogs in their best interest through fun games based training 🐾❤️
