Saturday 15th June 2024. We attended Wallingford Carnival, we had three donkeys in attendance, (Charlie North and our adoption donkey Monty with our pop up shop) Gerald who pulled the cart through the town with the procession was well behaved. Gerald being a driving donkey enjoyed his day out as we all did!

We are looking forward to our 1st Bike and Trike Show coming up on Saturday 22nd June. Something a little different at the Sanctuary with lots of motorbikes and trikes on show plus stalls, refreshments and bar. Enter your bike or trike for just £2.00 with visitor entry £1.00

An update on our Donkey Show on Sunday 2nd June: The In-Hand classes are still going ahead as planned starting at 10am as well as the Fun Dog Show at 2pm but the driving classes have been cancelled due to lack of entries.

Our Annual Donkey Show and Fun Dog Show will soon be here on Sunday 2nd June. Donkey Classes start at 10am and the Fun Dog Show gets underway at 2pm. Everyone welcome either to compete or spectate. There will be some stalls in the Barn throughout the day as well.

Congratulations and a big thank you to Leah for completing her 10k run for the donkeys on Saturday. Despite the windy conditions making it more challenging, Leah and her father Tim kept going and accomplished their goal. We are always grateful to our wonderful supporters, especially when youngsters are keen to help the work of the Sanctuary.

Leah adores donkeys and has visited the Sanctuary a number of times. She told her mum and dad that she wanted to help raise funds for the donkeys so is doing a 10 kilometer run with her dad Tim over the Chiltern Hills on Saturday 6th April.

Leah and her dad have been out training regularly and she is keen to raise as much as possible for the Sanctuary. We are delighted that Leah would love to help the donkeys in this way so please give her your support.

Following last years successful event we have had several enquiries about this year so on Good Friday (29th March) and Easter Sunday (31st March) we will holding an Easter Egg Trail at the sanctuary from 11am to 3pm. Entry is £3.00 per child and there is no need to book - just turn up and get involved.

In addition we will have an Easter Tombola and would welcome any donations of Easter Eggs as prizes. Donations can be dropped off at the sanctuary office any day by the 27th March.

Our recent Companion Dog Show at the Sanctuary was a great success with over 100 dogs taking part in both Pedigree and Novelty classes. A big thank you goes out to Sue and Michael for organising the show. We had many requests to host another show so we have arranged our next Companion Dog Show for Sunday 4th February 2024. More details nearer the time.
