🚨🚨 Betty update 27/12 🚨🚨

Today the gorgeous Betty had her routine spay with the wonderful Lakeview Veterinary Centre.

It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as it was looking like possibly pyometra was starting to develop, along with adhesions.

This is the reason we will always neuter our dogs, and always under the advice of our vets. Pyometra can be a deadly disease if not dealt with swiftly.

Betty is recovering in her foster home and has come along way after being mauled. She is healing well and is a happy little lady, who loves her toys dearly.

🎄 Please welcome Halle 🎄

Halle is a 8-9 year old Labradoodle who will be looking for a new home with a slower pace of life and with someone who is around for most of the day. She has lived as an only dog but gets on well with others dogs.

Halle has been returned to our care after a number of years due to a devastating change of
circumstances for her adopter. We have kept in touch with Halle over the years so we know this beautiful girl very well.

We are continuing with the Christmas miracles 🎄🐾

🚨🚨 Betty update 16/12/24 🚨🚨

Betty was at Lakeview Veterinary Centre this afternoon for repeat blood tests and a check up. As you can see she is healing wonderfully ♥️

Betty was attacked by a resident dog just 19 days ago and was signed over after her owners couldn’t afford her treatment.

She has really been through the mill and still needs further blood work and repeat heart scans, after she was found to be in heart failure. We will also need repeat X-rays to check the healing of her broken leg.

However, Betty is full of life, happy to see everyone and loves nothing more than romping around in the garden and playing with toys and her new friends, she truly is thriving in her foster home and has settled amazingly well.

Head Nurse Dolma has been treating Betty from the start, and Betty showed her appreciation by showering her with kisses 😘

🚨🚨Rehoming alert 🚨🚨

Christmas wishes came true for Tilly, after finding her perfect forever family, just in time for Santa! 🎅

Charlotte and her family were previous unsuccessful applicants and have been waiting for their perfect match with us since, and Tilly was the perfect companion for them all.

As you can see Tilly has settled wonderfully, having only left us this morning! We are over the moon for them all.

Yesterday the grown up Zac(now Bear) was in Lakeview Veterinary Centre for his routine neuter.

We couldn’t believe just how big and handsome he had gotten.

Thank you to all the team for taking such good care of our boy.
As you can see he’s taken it in his stride and is recovering as if nothing has happened at home🥰

🌈 It is with utter heartbreak we bring you the news that this morning Caramel crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Caramel came to CPR in September of this year, after being found straying. It was clear Caramel had neurological issues along with being completely blind, which was believed to have been caused by a severe head trauma.

Caramel was initially improving and loving life, however we noticed a downturn a couple of weeks ago, which has progressively got worse. Caramel’s mobility was decreasing and over the last couple of days her ability to swallow was declining. Overnight she was in a lot of pain and after consulting the vets, we did the kindest thing we could. Caramel was cuddled through her passing with tears flowing.

We may not have been able to save her but she will forever be in our hearts. Sleep tight Princess 🌈🌈🌈❤️❤️❤️❤️

🚨 Failed Foster alert 🚨

A couple of weeks ago the absolutely gorgeous Dottie was surrendered by her owners, due to a tragic change in their circumstances.

Dottie settled into her foster home and became best friends with resident dachshund Annabell. It was like love at first sight 🥰 for the pair, Dottie has slotted right into life, so much so her foster family fell in love and the rest is history.

Dottie has been officially adopted and we couldn’t be happier. This may disappoint some of our loyal supports, but we know how pleased you will be with just how happy Dottie is 🐾

🚨 Rehoming alert 🚨

Jasmine joined us literally on death’s door, just over 5 months ago after being found as a stray. An incredible amount of time and care has gone into bringing this wonderful girl back to full health, which we fully thank her foster family for.

A special home was needed and she has landed on all 4 paws with Naomi, Andrew, Caddy and Bert! She has settled in amazingly well, and already has her new mum wrapped around her paw 🥰

Everyone is so excited!!!

The sparkle from the glitter will attract the reindeer during the night and guide them to each child’s house so Santa can come and bring presents for all the good boys and girls.

In September we attended and ran a dogstable course at the annual Staple dog show.

On sunday a small part of the team, including the gorgeous Caramel, were invited to the christmas fair to receive a donation from proceeds taken at the show.

We can’t thank Trevor and the team enough for the £250 donation 🥰

It really has come at a time of desperate need, after taking in a number of welfare cases.
