As dog groomers it’s not just about washing and drying your dog.

It’s knowing the anatomy of the different fur babies.

Brachycephalic ( short muzzled/ flat faces) breeds
have shorted necks and flatter faces so sometimes have difficulty with their breathing.

This has been taken into consideration when carrying out a groom on these types of dog’s.

Therefore the groom needs to be adjusted to support the needs of the dog.

During their bath I use a flannel to wash their faces to prevent them from inhaling any water or shampoo, to ensure they are comfortable and stress free at all times.

During the drying process I use what is called a pageant style restraint to secure your dog and to support its grooming needs.

This ensure there is no unnecessary strain on their neck or windpipe and that they are comfortable throughout their pamper.

Happy Friday Folks!

This beautiful Princess came in for her regular groom this week.

She is proof regular grooming, is so important for even for short haired breeds of dog.
When she first started her grooming process her skin was quite red in places.

Now on a regular schedule the redness has reduced.

Removing the allergens (the nasties that sit on your dogs skin and coat) helps to stimulate the natural oils in a dogs skin, improving the health and condition of their skin and coat.

Along with a thorough deshed.

Delivered this morning to St Micheals Primary and Pelsall Village school, for their upcoming Christmas Fayre raffles, a doggie a hamper each.

St Micheals Christmas Fayre is Friday 6th December at 6-9pm and Pelsall Village is coming up in the next couple of weeks.

My little lady is going to be spayed tomorrow so she’s had a Luxurious Sunday bath- Full on pamper, shampoo, conditioner, facial, a thoroughly good deshed and not forgetting a spritz of coat management spray for that beautiful shine in her coat, oh and some pawfume 🐶🥰
