A big thank you to everyone who purchased our raffles tickets… we collected a amazing £251 we have donated this to three charities to help with food and vet bills:

🎅 🎄This year the nurses have put together a doggy hamper and a cat hamper.
Please help us support your local pet charity’s by buying a raffle ticket at reception. All money raised will go to these charity’s who work night and day to care and love for these animals in need.

The local rescues are struggling and need our support more than ever 🎄🎅

Sadly we have had a all black male neutered cat into us this evening that has been involved in a road traffic accident on the Lichfield Road Junction, Stoney Lane and passed away before arrival to the practice. He wasn’t wearing a collar or unfortunately isn’t chipped therefore we cannot contact the owners.

☀️ As much as we are all very excited about the warmer weather arriving over the weekend just remember doggies are unable to keep cool like us as they are not able to sweat like us and usually pant to cool down….

Here are a few tips to try help them keep safe:

-walks at dusk and dawn 🐶 (or no walk at all)
-avoid car journeys 🚗
-ensure they have access to shaded areas 🌳
-ensure constant supply of cool fresh water 💦
- dampen towels for them to lie on if they wish or use them to place over rabbit/guinea pig runs
- freeze some treats to give them 🥕🥦
-maybe treat them to a swimming pool 😃

Neospora is the most commonly diagnosed cause of bovine abortion or stillbirths in the UK, and its prevalence is growing worldwide. Farm animals are at risk from infected dog faeces. Please be mindful of other animals and clean up after your dog when walking in the countryside.
