⚠️Hard Ground!!⚠️
With the high temperatures this week the ground is starting to harden up! Please be aware as tempting as it can be, cantering/galloping your horses on the hard ground can lead to lameness. The concussion horses experience from the hard ground puts a great strain on their tendons and ligaments. Injuries such as splints, bruised soles, fractured pedal bones, strains and ligament damage are often seen as a result of the hard ground.
We hope you enjoy the nicer weather and the freshly cut stubble/open fields but please do take into consideration the surfaces and conditions before allowing your horse to have a good blast! 🏇🏇🏇

Amen 🙏

I see a lot of people recommending chiropractors and pemf and excluding massage therapists. I want to give you a few reasons why I believe a massage therapist should be used regularly at times in a horse’s life:

We all have different skills to contribute to your horse’s care. Bodies need different kinds of help at different times.

Remember that it’s the muscles that create tensile strength and hold the bones and organs in place. They are also what pulls the body out of optimum, by strength or weakness, which combine to create imbalance and potential unsoundness. This is especially true and important when a horse is coming into increased work, coming back into fitness, or when a horse is older and needs a little help staying loose and comfortable. You can be a great trainer, your horse will still build strength unevenly, it’s simply what happens when out of shape horses are put into exercise. It’s natural, normal and expected.

By being proactive and working with a great massage therapist you can help your horse be more balanced and comfortable and so sounder, more mentally balanced and train more easily. We can help the horse through the process by manually suppling, helping him learn his body, improving awareness and letting him use himself the best he can while he works to build and become, hopefully, the best version of himself.

Hey everyone, I’m Laura, the founder of Equicantis 💫

As an Equine Musculoskeletal Therapist with nearly 15 years of experience, I have discovered first hand the frustration of delivering session reports and exercise plans manually. Handwriting them during appointments was quick but lacked quality, while typing them at home was time-consuming and still lacked impact!

Determined to enhance my clients experience, I embarked on a journey to create a solution. Thus, Equicantis was born – a cloud-based system designed to streamline business management and revolutionise exercise prescription for animal therapists worldwide.

My vision? Happy therapists, happy clients, and most importantly, happy animals!

🔔 BACK TO WORK TOMORROW 🔔

And I couldn’t be more looking forward to it!!! After putting my back out 10 days ago and falling sick the following day I’m so excited to be getting back to it tomorrow 😀

It was a long week in my pit, I kept trying to crack on but I just couldn’t, I was literally knocked off my feet… apparently it wasn’t Covid but it felt the same as when I had it last year! Anyway…. Tomorrow everything resumes to normal!!

I have appointments during the day and in the evening I will be catching up on all of my messages, rebooking missed appointment and getting everyone that’s waiting booked in! There’s going to be smoke coming out of the diary 🖊️ 💨

I just wanted to say a huge thanks to my clients for being so patient and understanding!!! I HATE letting people down!

Also thank you to everyone for their kind messages and well wishes while Marmalade was in the vets for 12 days 🦄 as you can see he was happy to come home!

It’s been a very unpleasant 2 weeks!

So for everyone waiting for a response and an appointment I will be in touch tomorrow ❤️🙏

So grateful for you all ###

🛑 Important Update 🛑

Evening all, I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend with your 4 legged friends 🦄🐶

I just wanted to update you because things have gone all a bit crazy 🤪 I am now fully booked until June and 50% of June is already booked up too.

If you are needing an appointment before June then please get in touch asap, I will do my utmost to accommodate everybody even if it means working some Sundays 😅

If you are a regular client and have regular sessions it may be worth putting a few in the diary at your next appointment ❤️

It’s times like this that I feel like the luckiest person alive to do what I love everyday! We’ve just gone into our 7th year.

There’s lots going on behind the scenes with the Equestrian Business Awards, we also have one of our sponsored riders coming on work experience in May (something I have always said no to BUT she has flown the flag for Peak Performance and it is with great pleasure that i can do this in return for her) there’s other big bits going on but I can’t talk about this right now… watch this space… 🦄

Anyway, I’m ready for another crazy week with 24 horses to treat so on that note I’m off to bed 😴

Thank you all 🙏❤️ I say it all the time but without you there would be no Peak Performace ###

⭐️ A note to clients ⭐️

Whether you have been a client from the beginning or you are new on the books, make sure to leave a review on our page. This helps potential new clients gather an understanding of what Peak Performance is all about 🙂

It also enters you into the competitions that I run for existing clients only where all the names of clients that have left reviews get put into a generator and one is selected to win a free treatment to show my thanks. We’ve done this before and we will do this again shortly 🙏❤️ without you there would be no peak performance 🙏❤️

A fabulous sponsor for a fabulous category! 🙏
