Our XC is now available to hire for the next few weeks!

40, 60 and 80 cm options with a couple of 90cm fences

The Eventer Challenge Course will be numbered for this week and then after that everything will remain flagged but the numbers will be coming down

£25 per horse for the XC ONLY
£20 per horse for the SJ ONLY
£30 per horse for both the XC and the SJ

The course will be closed from Wednesday 3rd July so that we can get ready for our next full weekend of events!

Sunday 2nd June 2024 - Hunter Trial - This was the first time our new cross country fences and new course layout had been jumped. We had many compliments and people asking if they could come bakc to hire the course. These comments makes the time the Lyford Team spend on building the fences so worthwhile.

The fully flagged course is available to hire until Tuesday 11th June and then after that it will be closed so we can get ready for our Eventer Challenge on the 15th June.

‼️Road closure‼️

Please be aware when travelling to us today that there is a road closure on the A420 at the A415 roundabout by Kingston Bagpuize

Diversion take the exit into Southmoor and at the first roundabout turn right in Southmoor. This road will then take you to the roundabout if you were to turn off of the A420.

Dear competitors.
Our lovely secretary ET, has stepped away from the front line (hopefully just for a short time) while she sees to work and life commitments
We have a new kid on the block, Sophie, who is learning the ropes. Today is her trial by fire!!!! 🙈. Please stop at the corner so she can check you in and when she’s looking like she’s running round like a headless chicken, be patient. ET’s slickness comes with practice 🤣🤣

The look of a broken man having crossed the finish line having made 12 new fences in the last week ready for Sunday’s Hunter trial. The winter has been horrendous and we haven’t been able to get out onto the land until the last minute so getting ready has been a gargantuan task for everyone at . But WOW!!! I’m so proud and grateful for the huge effort everyone has put into turning the place out like this whilst keeping the yard and the horses going.
Can’t wait for you all to come and enjoy!

Saturday 1st June 2024 Dressage
We have 5 Classes across the day
2x Intro Classes Intro A and Intro C (if there are enough entries for each of these classes we will split the class, under 12's and over 13's)
2x Prelim Classes Prelim 2 and Prelim 1
1x Novice /Elementary Class Novice 38 and Elementary 49
If you wish to have your test called, please ask the secretary on arrival, so that we can make sure we have someone around to do it for you. All we ask for is a donation of £1 each test, which goes to our charity which is Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

Hi Lyfordians, ET again, as promised the second round up post from the first weekend of competitions for our 2024 season.
Sunday 19th May 2024 - Eventer Challenge Simply Rugs - with Jayne Connors was our fantastic sponsor for this event and provided prizes for the top 3 winners of each of our 3 classes. If you have rugs that need cleaning get in touch with Jayne, Lyford Stud have a drop off point for Simply Rugs by the side of the secretary's hut get in touch.

Good evening Lyfordians, ET here - please accept my apologies for the delay in getting the round up posts from our weekend of competitions (my normal work has been uber busy today)
Anyhoo! As you will see we finally got our 2024 Competition season out of the starting blocks. With Dressage on Saturday and an Eventer Challenge yesterday.
I'll do two posts to show the results and photo's of all of our winners.
Firstly Saturday 18th May 2024
We had 56 riders register to start so it was an early start for the team with the first rider down the centre line at 0830.
