Yesterday Mabel was on daily full dose anti inflammatory meds as she was stiff and I / the vets thought full of arthritis. She’s been slower on the fields and although doing amazing for 11.5 yrs young I was saddened to see her slowing down. Well! I called Dyann the horse/dog physio as I was intrigued where the arthritis was and then could look out for the subtle signs that she was sore and needed a slower day etc. One sesh later, yes just 1, Mabel is off meds today and acting like a much younger dog on the ice (🙈). It turns out that yes she has some arthritis, she’s an active girl that has thrown her joints all over the show, however, and this was the exciting part, her shoulder, back and hip muscles were tight, Dyann’s magic hands have worked those muscles which sent Mabes into a chilled nap and gave her immediate relief 🥳. It is so lovely to think that she doesn’t need the meds (yes I will put her back on them if she needs it but to even consider a day without them wasn’t on the agenda) and is visibly happier, I’m so glad I got her looked at! 🐶💕. I cannot recommend Dyann enough ✨
