It’s been a while since my last post 📸

I have been super super busy expanding Ruff Routes recently 🐎
Whilst still seeing all of my lovely regular dogs. Thank you to all my lovely customers who have stuck by me whilst I have been slightly brain foggled 99% of the time.🥰

An extremely kind gesture from one of my many lovely clients this morning 🥰

This job really is the best in the world, however it can get lonely and although I’ll never complain spending all day every day with your pets sometimes the human interaction is very little. This was the perfect little pick me up after a stressful few weeks, it’s so lovely to feel appreciated and I’m always grateful for everyone’s custom and trust with their pets.

Ruff Routes has opened its diary again for grooming bookings, please contact me directly to get booked in. Full grooms, mini makeovers, hand stripping and de shed packages available. Very competitive prices and canine first aid trained.

I am also now offering a pick up and drop home service free of charge for Senior Citizens within the village of Wool. This means you’re only paying for the grooming service your dog receives no transport cost🐾 Due to the transportation these appointments will be chosen by me to suit my diary, but I will be as flexible as possible for you ✂️🐾

Had little Frank in for his first puppy groom today, what an absolute little star🌟

A breed like Franks in their life with require 4-8 weekly grooming appointments which is why it is SO important to introduce them young and prepare them for happy enjoyable grooms. He was so well behaved, and I’m sure it helped that Frank knows and trusts me from home visits but none the less I am incredibly proud of how he handled his first groom.

We at Ruff Routes love an excellent recall, well done Evie❤️ Evie started off on home visits as she was super excitable on walks, we then started solo walks and now Evie is on group walks with her 2 best friends each week and showing excellent progress especially with recall around distractions!🥰🌟

Frank and Quinn enjoying a swim together this morning ❤️🐾

Taking my own boy Frank with me on walks is excellent training time for him, here you can see he’s super interested in the others playing, as he would be a young dog under 2. But it’s also extremely important that Frank listens to me at all times, and the two others playing is a perfect chance for me to practice Frank sitting and waiting until I say otherwise . 🐾 Although it’s wonderful for dogs to play and be friendly, they also need to learn they don’t always have to be involved and it’s not always their business. Frank and one of the other Labradors in this video are both entire, which means what would start of playing could easily turn into a battle of testosterone resulting in 2 unhappy dogs and a negative experience. It’s so important to train your dogs, and ensure you can recall them back at all times and remove them from the situation ‼️❤️🐾 Consistency and patience is key, every walk is a training session ✔️

Not only do false nails look nice, they also provide fab ear scratches for the dogs🤣🥰🐾

No lead, no long line, great recall. Well done girls, lots of distractions that caught their eye today but 2 beeps and straight back to me. 👏🏽 I’m not a dog trainer, nor do I claim to be one however having each dog I walk learn recall to my own whistle is the most important to me, I will never let a dog off lead or off the long line if I don’t think it’s safe to do so. Your dogs safety and happiness is always my number 1 priority 🐶
