Well that’s it! Sadly I lost Copper a few nights ago ☹️ but Poppet has now been taken to her new home! Thankyou Jeanette Cheshire for adopting her. Fingers crossed she will hang around in your wonderful garden. That’s me completely out of hogs now. Time for a little break from the madness. Again would like to thank all of you for the support the past few years. It’s so lovely how animals can bring people together ❤️ This FB page will be deleted soon. I’m sure many of you have my number so stay in touch if you need my help or just wanna chat! ###

Hello all you lovely people 🙂 I would like to thank every single one of you for the support you have given me. Some of you know the struggles I’ve been through this year (and last) with certain things that I don’t want to go into on FB! I am going to taking a break from rescuing hogs for a while. Just until I can get back to feeling healthy again. I still have the love for them and I am still caring for the ones I currently have at home now. I shall update you all on the ones in my care whatever happens. I am so grateful to you all. I will get back into it but I’ve come to realise that my health is just as important as these little spiky smelly balls. I feel that I’m not giving the care I could be if I was feeling 100%. I am ok!!! No need to worry! You have all been so kind and I would hate to just go quiet on here without you all knowing why. Thanks again ❤️❤️

Hello peeps, some sad news I’m afraid 😢 last night I lost little Todd (one of the 2 that came together) he had been putting on weight and was doing well. He obviously had something else going on that myself and the vet couldn’t see. Fingers crossed Copper won’t take a turn for the worst without him. 🤞

I would like you all to meet…… Todd & Copper ❤️ so cute and tiny!! Todd is the smallest weighing in at 128g and Cooper at 180g. Todd had lots of fly eggs which have all been removed and these 2 are from the same family. Very sweet to watch them sleeping. Naturally they would still be on milk but would be weaning so they have a specialised puppy milk and kitten food to get them started. Looks yummy? 🤮

Another 2 babies in tonight! Not looking to great as yet again, fly eggs galore! I have updated my wish list! Little Sonic has eaten all of the kitten food!! Tried him on normal cat food and NOPE!! 😂😂 thanks for all your support so far, you guys rule and I couldn’t do it without you all xx

Poppet in the first photo, Sonic in the second! If this was a race of who can put on weight the fastest, Sonic would win hands down! Poppet is now 469g, taking it easy as loving her bed too much! And Sonic is now 523g! Munching away as fast as possible!! Sonic is on his way to going back into the wild before winter! GO SONIC 💪

Poppet came out to say hello whilst cleaning and weighing! How sweet is he? Dirty face as had dug right under the chippings! Jeanette Cheshire your hog!! Now 433g x

Poor hog not doing so well. 30+ ticks removed and shes only 300g ☹️ she is inside, safe and warm so whatever happens, she wasn’t left alone.

I hate this part of being a rescuer 🥺 the tiny hog that came in covered in fly eggs has passed away. He actually had maggots coming out of his mouth yesterday which means there were fly eggs in his mouth which I couldn’t get to. I was up most of the night trying to flush them out but clearly they were deeper down than I could reach without causing harm. Sad times but this is exactly why it’s good to check our hogs. Doesn’t take long for fly eggs to hatch and once that’s happened, it’s hard to fix. Sorry little tiny hog 😢

Tiny little boy in this evening. I am raging war with the flies!!! Absolutely covered in fly eggs and has no life in him at the moment. So sad. He is a measly 150g. Fingers crossed he will do ok. I have removed all the fly eggs (hopefully! Very hard to see in their baby fur) so he should start to feel a little better. Photos below of how he came and after. And a lovely bowl full of fly eggs for you to look at! He wasn’t overly keen on me removing them from his p***s! But he will get over it! 😳 xx

Hettie is a massive 689g ❤️❤️ when she came in she was 327g, so small! She’s now a fatty. Release is imminent ready for winter xx

Tiny little dude in today 🥺 was found on a road in Warminster this morning. OMG he is SO CUTE! Weighing in at 112g! He has been named Freddie from the rescuer 🙂 who loves him?

The hog bought in from Warminster town park is doing well! Such a cutie! SHE needs a name! Let’s give her one x slowly but surely putting on weight. Very tiny when she came in. Love that face ❤️

Hello all, this is Chance. I’ve named him that for a very good reason. This is the hog you are praying for. Looks ok doesn’t he?! Wait until you actually see him. I’m a little nervous about showing his injury as I know what lots of people will say. I’m not going to be showing it yet. Let’s wait and see if Chance can make a recovery. This is the hog that has stolen my heart!

Why do I have a camera set up in this hogs house? And why is it just on newspaper with no actual bedding? Why Haven’t I removed the tick behind his ear? This hog has been through enough! The tick is the least of his worries which is why I haven’t removed it. All will be revealed but please pray for him. I’ve again fallen completely in love ❤️

Hey all! Just a quickie as I know there are lots of worried people when finding a hedgehog during the day. Please please please, if you find a hedgehog with maggots on, get it into a vet straight away. I can handle ticks and fly eggs, but I’m not equip with dealing with maggots! Maggots bury down deep into the animal and then only appear on the surface once the flesh has been eaten. These poor hogs need a vets attention. They have the drugs to one, get rid of all maggots and two give proper pain relief and antibiotics if needed. Lots of these cases do end up with euthanasia which again I can’t do at home. Thanks 😊
