Next week looks much nicer, this is just a reminder to get those rugs out/cleaned and dig out your waterproofs (if you ever put them away!)
This weeks course is set up with lots of dog legs and related distances, come and have a play.
We have a Dressage Clinic tomorrow evening at Downlands Equestrian. There are two sessions;
Session 1; 5pm-6pm, Intro-Prelim Level Dressage
Session 2: 6pm-7pm, Novice Level Dressage upwards

We now have both 20x40 and 20x60m dressage arenas on grass in our Combined Training field along with a set of wooden show jumps built to a course.
To hire, visit our website www.downlands-equestrian.co.uk and select Combined Training.
You can book for 1/2 hour at £10 or 1hour £20 and bring up to 4 horses.
Please do not move any boards or numbers and leave the course as you found it.

A slightly re-jigged course from Clear Round Show Jumping course last Saturday, built by now to include the new South Wiltshire RC skinny planks.
This course will remain for a week until 20th August.

The outdoor is set up as a mini course and a grid along one side.
The larger fillers and water tray are still out beside the jumps for you to build up and add should you wish.

We are due to wave goodbye to a yard favourite who is exploring new ventures in Shropshire. Gina & Tubby will be sorely missed by us all but we will stay in touch 😘.

Do you know… to hire our 60x40 Outdoor arena is still only £10 per 1/2 hour or £20 per hour for up to 4 horses, this is by far the cheapest arena hire you will find in this area and we aim to keep it this way, as let’s face it horses are expensive enough! Please help us keep the costs down by supporting us and booking to use our facilities so we can continue to offer great training opportunities at our venue.

All too often we hear about how fast 💨 🏎️ cars are going or how inconsiderate drivers are around horses. BUT I have to say, I ride on the roads at least 5 times a week around here and it is rare that I ever have an issue. I strongly believe that by us as riders being polite, happy and considerate we lead by example. This little horse is very nervous in traffic and we actually went out hoping to build his confidence yesterday. This driver was patient enough to stop and let us pass, unfortunately on this occasion I had both hands firmly on the reins so didn’t thank him, so here’s a BIG thank you to our kind drivers in the Wylye Valley 👏 👍🥰🫡
It’s not very often I catch this one snoozing even though I know from the poop stains he’s a regular sleeper. A beautiful moment spent with him 🫶 #connemarapony #liveryyard
Good news! The sheep are off the course this weekend, just munching down the humps which are out of bounds. They will be back on next week, more info to follow, then off again for October 1/2 Term!
