My name is Tina I am a dog trainer and I use physiology and pyschology to get good results, it's good to have some knowledge of both. I believe that if you use energy and body language the dog will know where it stands. Observing and studying your dog's body language is a quick way to get good results. There are so many different behaviour theories around at the moment that dog owners are hard pre
ssed to find out which is correct. My best advice to you is to go with what works for you and your dog as long as you do not use any methods that is in anyway causing your dog physical pain or discomfort or resulting in him showing signs of being emotionally unhappy. My training methods are not always based on reward with food;
My reward is based on praise and massage and on fun,
It's better for your dog if you don't want your dog to lose its figure!! My behaviour theories are based on pack structure. I believe that your dog views itself as a member of a pack within your family and that you need to make sure that you are that pack's leader to ensure that you have ultimate control over your dog and to help your dog to be secure, happy and content. There is nothing threatening about this, every dog needs a leader. None of my methods involve physical domination or bullying. They involve creating an environment in which the dog knows its place in the hierarchal system using canine communication methods.

We just want you to know that 14 year old Bonnie passed away today.

Interior- The Treatment Room
Most teams did not ask there dogs to search this area. But the odour was by the water bowls on the wall in a crack.
Lovely to see the dogs cover this area and for handlers to target them into the corners of the room.
Exterior- Gravel area with box perimeter with chair/table in centre.
All but one team searched left sided. But all dogs took the time to cover the area and 2 teams searched the center!
The odour was right side far corner. Very well done for everyone that got it, lovely cool breeze coming across and some dogs just ran for it!
Selection- blue boxes 📦 inside the stables
Odour in the first box, great line handling. I would say mostly handler error with this search. Not asking the dogs to search before the boxes and then quickly walking past the boxes before the dogs had a chance to look.

Gun Oil odour at the end of the room, by my shoes. Some dogs picked it up as soon as they were told to search and others worked the room beautiful to find the odour.

Odour on back left of fencing post. For the dogs allowed to search they picked the odour up 15 meter away.

Interior- Glasshouse
T Junction with one odour to the left by tap, second the other end right by metal pole. Some teams found the environmental aspect difficult, but many were able to locate one or two odours
Exterior- Outside stables
One odour by kick bolt. Second odour by chair in corner.
Most dogs walked past the first odour on a mission, then when brought back around they found it with ease.
Vehicles - 2 cars
Start was at an angle, with silver car having odour on for back metal tire. Blue car had odour on drivers front plastic.
Selection test - 8 blue boxes
Blank was on box 2, Gun Oil odour on box 6

Hugely proud of Whisky and how far we have come. 💕 I have been Whisky's guardian for 7 months. We have been working very hard with his resource guarding issues. He is so much better than he was. We still have a long road ahead of us - but we are getting there. Gundog is a natural outlet for gundog breeds. I know he does not do a hand retrievals - but we can safely pick it up and that is a win. Shower time for Sassy!Sassy has had 3 weeks inside due to her season and now it is time to give her a clean! Using the new Tilly and Family natural dog soaps. Really enjoyed using this product as I have tried many natural bar soaps for the dogs and they don’t lather up and you end up using the majority of the bar to clean the dogs! This bar has lots of life left in it! For children as well they have a colouring in page and sticker chart. Dental care 🦷🪥 It can be a minefield of information and if you are unsure what to do it can be daunting 😳😪 Conditioning your dogs to allow you to check their teeth and gums is so important. Indoor obedience classes we do vet week!
