One lead clipped onto the collar the other on his harness. This is just incase he got scared and managed to escape one or the other.
If you live somewhere with little street lighting, head touches are a great addition. Meaning your hands are free to hold the dog.
Try and walk before it gets too dark. However I know that is not always possible as some dogs like routine.

Hugely proud of Whisky and how far we have come. 💕
I have been Whisky's guardian for 7 months.
We have been working very hard with his resource guarding issues. He is so much better than he was.
We still have a long road ahead of us - but we are getting there.
Gundog is a natural outlet for gundog breeds.
I know he does not do a hand retrievals - but we can safely pick it up and that is a win.
We can do hand drops when working on stationery work, so I am sure we will get there once things start moving. 🐾
