Dogwise Training School Got a problem dog or just want to socialise your dog? Dogwise is designed to help you and your dog. It works quickly and effectively time and time again.

My name is Tina I am a dog trainer and I use physiology and pyschology to get good results, it's good to have some knowledge of both. I believe that if you use energy and body language the dog will know where it stands. Observing and studying your dog's body language is a quick way to get good results. There are so many different behaviour theories around at the moment that dog owners are hard pre

ssed to find out which is correct. My best advice to you is to go with what works for you and your dog as long as you do not use any methods that is in anyway causing your dog physical pain or discomfort or resulting in him showing signs of being emotionally unhappy. My training methods are not always based on reward with food;
My reward is based on praise and massage and on fun,
It's better for your dog if you don't want your dog to lose its figure!! My behaviour theories are based on pack structure. I believe that your dog views itself as a member of a pack within your family and that you need to make sure that you are that pack's leader to ensure that you have ultimate control over your dog and to help your dog to be secure, happy and content. There is nothing threatening about this, every dog needs a leader. None of my methods involve physical domination or bullying. They involve creating an environment in which the dog knows its place in the hierarchal system using canine communication methods.

Our brand ambassadors are all skilled animal therapists, often with careers that cover a much wider range of disciplines.

Faye Sparkes of Sparkes Animal Therapies is no exception. Alongside her work as a canine massage therapist, she is a reiki master, student physiotherapist and teaches agility, scentwork and behavioural training at her local Dogwise Training School.

Following her recent demonstration at the The College of Animal Physiotherapy / Optimus Therapy Tech Open Day, she has kindly provided us with an introduction to canine conditioning, featuring two of her dogs, Lilli and Pippie.

Night time safety with our dogs! High Viz jackets and coats! Hurta collar and leads Lights! One lead clipped onto the collar the other on his harness. This is just incase he got scared and managed to escape one or the other. If you live somewhere with little street lighting, head touches are a great addition. Meaning your hands are free to hold the dog. Try and walk before it gets too dark. However I know that is not always possible as some dogs like routine. Proviz dog coat, turns from grey to bright white when light is on it. Been testing out the red harness of 8 months, with Whisky who wears a his everyday. Hugely proud of Whisky and how far we have come. 💕 I have been Whisky's guardian for 7 months. We have been working very hard with his resource guarding issues. He is so much better than he was. We still have a long road ahead of us - but we are getting there. Gundog is a natural outlet for gundog breeds. I know he does not do a hand retrievals - but we can safely pick it up and that is a win. We can do hand drops when working on stationery work, so I am sure we will get there once things start moving. 🐾 www.dogwisetraining.net [email protected]
