Hi everyone, just a little update. My new physio has been worth his weight in gold! He was unhappy with my lack of movement this length of time on - something I have been complaining about for months, but constantly dismissed saying it was normal and would take time. He therefore referred me for a scan, which unfortunately has shown multiple things wrong in my shoulder and therefore I have been referred back to the surgeon probably needing more surgery 😩. So not going to be returning to work anytime soon sadly.

It's been sometime now since I did my last update, so thought I should do another. However it is increasingly hard to know what to say when things sadly haven't changed greatly.
I am improving, but it is such a slow process - I am throwing everything at it to try and aid recovery, but it just needs time, which is so frustrating!
I have had messages asking if I will be returning to work. It most definitely is my full intention as and when I can, but again I can't
give any timelines on this at present. I have decided to enlist the help of a different physio in the hope that a new approach may have some impact.....watch this space πŸ˜€.
I am using this time proactively and challenging myself to do the 25km Jurassic Coast Challenge on 18th May to raise funds for The Neonatal Unit at Royal United Hospital, Bath. If anyone would like to donate, it would be very much appreciated. I will post the 'Just Giving' page separately.
In the meantime, I hope you and all your lovely pooches are well x

Hi everyone, I hope you and all your lovely pooches are well. 🐢

I am receiving quite a few messages recently enquiring as to whether I have re-opened. Firstly, I wanted to thank you for your continued loyalty, it is really humbling ☺️.
I am assured that my recovery is going well, considering the severity of my injury. However, I certainly didn't anticipate that it would take this long! Currently I don't feel as though I am making very good progress, due to high pain levels, which is not only holding me back, but also preventing me from moving forward. However, I have got to remain positive and remember how far I have come!
At this stage I am still unable to give any idea as to when I will be able to resume, but be assured it is my intention to do so ASAP.

My very best wishes to you all x

I would like to wish all of my clients a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Unfortunately my aim to return to work in January has been dashed due to further setbacks. I have left it until now to update as I had to see my consultant today. I am pleased to say he is happy with my progress, and unperturbed by my continual pain with the injury I sustained. He,.like my physio assure me it is a matter of time......He feels in another month or so, I should be feeling a lot better, so fingers crossed 🀞. I will of course update once I am able to resume.

I miss seeing you all.

Hi everyone

Just a little update. Things are improving, but very slowly!! Unfortunately my physio was delayed and my shoulder has become very stiff. I am now having physio twice a week in order to try and get it moving. I narrowly avoided a diagnosis of frozen shoulder last week, which was such a relief!

I hope you and your pooches are all well. I am missing you all terribly x

Just another little update. Things are progressing well, albeit still in a lot of pain, but heading in the right direction. Thankfully when I saw the consultant last week he confirmed I wouldn't need another op, which was such a relief! I am now out of the sling and hard at work with physio.

At one time I was hoping to be back at work by mid-September, but this unfortunately is not going to be the case πŸ˜ͺ. I have been told, now the sling is off, to expect recovery to take 12 weeks plus. My fracture was complex, so may well take longer 😫. Realistically we are now probably looking at the New Year. I very much hope to be back before then, but wanted to keep you all in the picture so that you can plan ahead.

As always I very much appreciate your support and miss seeing you all and your pooches.

UPDATE:

Just wanted to put an update out following on from my original message on 14th July.

Since then I have had surgery, as my shoulder was in a worse mess than originally thought😫. I am hopefully on the mend now, albeit a very slow process πŸ˜ͺ. I think for the time being it is best for me to say all appointments are cancelled for the foreseeable future and I will update again once I have more news. Unfortunately I have no idea how long this whole process is going to take, but thank you all for your support and kind messages. Rest assured, as soon as I can be back at work, I will be! In the meantime if anyone is struggling, I have another groomer who I can put you in touch with, who has kindly offered to help me out in the interim x

I am sorry to let you all know that I am going to be out of action for a while unfortunately. I have had an accident resulting in two broken bones 😫. I will keep you all posted as your appointments come up. Should anyone be in desperate need, I can put you in touch with another groomer who has kindly agreed to help me out.
