CAT MICROCHIPPING IS NOW COMPULSORY π±
Did you know: There are over 9 million pet cats in England, with as many as 2.3 million unchipped, meaning that it would be very difficult to reunite them with their owner if they get lost or stolen.
Microchipping cats will help reunite thousands of lost or stray pets with their owners and return them home safely. If your need to book your cat in to be microchipped, give us a call on 01925 977 622 and a member of our team will be happy to help.

It's meant to be quite hot this weekend, so we wanted to highlight the importance of keeping your pets cool in the hot weather β
Signs of heat stroke:
Panting heavily | Dribbling | Wobbling | Bright red gums | Vomiting | Frothing at the mouth | Hot to touch
How to act:
If your pet experiences any of these symptoms, it is important to contact our Vets immediately on 01925 977 622. In the meantime, you need to start cooling your pets SAFELY!
Never use cold water or ice - This could cause shock.
Put them on top of a wet towel to start cooling them.
Pour room temp water on their paws and the outside of the ears, then slowly on the whole body and use a fan or air-conditioning to cool the air around them.
Give them cool (not freezing cold) water to drink.
Move your pet into a cool space that is out of direct sunlight.
Transport your pet in an air-conditioned vehicle and continue cooling them on the journey to the practice.
If you have any worries or concerns, just give us a call on 01925 977 622 and speak to a member of our team.

KEEP YOUR PETS WARM THIS WINTER βπΆπ±π°
To keep your dogs warm on their winter walks, a jumper or coat is a really good idea, especially if they are elderly or a puppy! It is important to keep them visible in the darker nights too, so a reflective collar or light would be ideal.
To keep outdoor cats warm, make sure they have access to a warm, dry shelter that is free from cold drafts and consider installing a cat flap so they can come and go as they please. Cats often sleep under car bonnets too, so itβs always worth checking before setting off in the morning!
NOTE: Antifreeze and rock salt can be poisonous to pets, so try to avoid spilling any. If you do, just remember to clean it up thoroughly.
Outdoor pets, such as rabbits and guinea pigs, will need extra bedding in the winter and a cover to keep their hutch protected from the cold. Please remember to keep it well ventilated though. If you can, try to raise their hutch off the ground and place it in a sheltered position, facing away from wind and rain.
We hope these tips help to keep your pets warm this winter. For more idea, you can give our team a call on 01925 977 622 and they will be happy to help. π₯°
