Rosie and Wilma. The best of friends. We've only had Wilma since February and they had an immediate bond. Rosie wasn't coping well after Alfie died so we started to look for a companion for her and found Wilma. They love nothing more than snuggling together. They even shake at the same time. Wilma will never take the place of Alfie but her presence helps with his loss for us and more importantly for Rosie. New adventures await with our two amigos.

Our beautiful baby boy Alfie grew his angel wings yesterday and crossed the rainbow bridge at the ripe old age of 16. We rescued him when he was probably less than a year old. Found as a stray in Bolton he came into rescue and into our lives as a companion for Genie greyhound. He was so small when we rescued him he could walk underneath Genie who was a small greyhound and grew to be almost as big as her. He was a beautiful boy and loved nothing more than a ball or a frisbee and would carry them in his mouth on long walks, never letting go until he was ready to play with them again. He was an absolute joy and just full of life. Our hearts will always be full of love for him but right now are heavy and broken with the loss of him. We've had a very traumatic Christmas and New Year caring for him. Our enormous thanks to Anita and Mel at Eternal Paws who were so compassionate to the very end. He passed at my mum's and we then took him to Eternal Paws to say our last goodbyes laid on his favourite duvet in a beautiful room full of gorgeous energy and surrounded by crystals and candles. Fly high our baby boy. Forever in our hearts x

Alfie's first hydrotherapy session. He was so good. I thought he'd do the normal sighthound thing with water and go rigid but he didn't. He has arthritis in his hips and spine so helping him build his muscle strength.

Greyhounds love Cleo caterpillar. Cleo travels around our house which is no mean feat, those who have one know she's quite large.

My friend is looking for a whippet puppy as a family pet. Any recommendations for well respected breeders, ideally in the North West but not essential.

Little Alfie is 15 now and got arthritis in his hips and spine. We've bought him a dog pram which had its first outing today. He didn't enjoy it and barked the whole time he was in it.

We booked an off lead secure field last night for the hounds to have a blast. They had a bit of a spurt then just chilled except our Alfie who is 15 and pootled about with his frisbee for the whole hour. He's still active despite his age. Sorry it's a bit of a long video.
