As we end the year I’d just like to thank you all for your support and commitment to both my little school and your amazing dogs.
This year has been a turbulent one with lots of highs, proud moment & awards won, our obedience classes and rally crew making astounding progress with phenomenal results in various competitions & the sad passing of a well loved client.
As the year comes to an end I won’t be making resolutions as such, but I will reaffirm my commitment to positively educating you and your dogs to our usual high standards and offering all the support you and your furry companions need!

The school year for the Rixton Rally Crew is now over and the 2024 trophy was won by Jorgie who is a 2 year old Barbet (French Water Dog) & handled by Meg with a score of 825. Ben, handled by Lauren were 2nd with 823, Pablo & Meg took 3rd with 818. Agnes, handled by Natalie won the award for most improved dog & handler combination, so super well done to them! ⭐️

They had their final competition of year at the beginning of the month and the results were pretty close with Apollo handled by Sarah taking the win! Jorgie handled by Meg 2nd & Pablo also handled by Meg taking 3rd.

All dogs and handlers have had an amazingly successful year and should be incredibly proud of themselves, as their trainer Sue is too! They’ve had some awesome accomplishments and their dedication and commitment to their dogs deserves high recognition indeed. Well done all & thank you Sue for being such a wonderful trainer. 🥂

The groups have been doing an inter class competition the last few terms and the results are now in! The competition comprised of various elements such as agility, obedience, proximity and distance work. I may need to up the skill level next year as some results were far too close! 🙈
The reason for the competition was to demonstrate & celebrate how utterly awesome each dog and handler combination are and I couldn’t be prouder. They train with such dedication & positivity and this is highlighted in the connection they all have with their dogs who work with such happy focus. Do they always get it right? No! Do they blame their dog for any mistakes? Also no! Do they try hard and learn from any set backs whilst still training with kindness? Yes! Every single time! I am truly blessed to have such wonderful clients to work with and I hope they’re all as proud of themselves as I am. 💜 🩷 xx

Another successful trip away for Debra who is now an Examiner for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Gold award! It’s been a few years since doing the assessments for Bronze and Silver so it was a tough day at the Kennel Club building with written, practical and interview tests all day. And, all that with a pulled back and snotty nose! I must say a huge thank you to all at the KC for their support and help, even walking the dogs as my back was too bad to even do that. 🥰
Back ‘up North’ now and ready to focus on classes, 1:1’s and the interclass competition! 🥉 🥈 🥇 xx

Well, having been made finalists for Dog Trainer of the Year, Sue and I have donned our none dog clothes and are attending an amazing awards ceremony.
Absolutely thrilled, and it took a few seconds to sink in, when Rixton Dog School was called as Highly Commended! So, not winners but top 3 is awesome! Well, Sue and I think so anyway! xx

Another awesome Rally competition from Sausage Sues Rixton Rally Reprobates ! Super well done to all and to Sue for her excellent tuition.
1st place, with a score of 208, went to Harley handled by Paul, 2nd went to Apollo handled by Sarah with a score of 206 and 3rd place went to Ben handled by Lauren with a score of 204. Judges Special was awarded to Agnes handled by Natalie.
Well done to Jorgie and birthday boy Pablo handled by Meg too! Excellent work all and the scores were super close! ⭐️ x
