Training your dog should be fun and enjoyable and here at Rixton Dog School we will teach you how reward based training can help you have a happy and good relationship with your dog. At Rixton Dog School we only use tried and tested, kind, positive and effective methods, which include clicker training and lure & reward. On successful completion of the course you will be rewarded with a certificate

and a rosette, celebrating your achievements and also have your photo taken with your dog, which we would like to have posted on our website (with your permission of course). All classes are run by our highly qualified professional trainers. Our training sessions are fully insured and conducted in a safe, friendly and relaxed manner. Our purposely adapted indoor training centre, complete with safety flooring, plus our secure, fenced and laid to turf, outside training area, are used for dog training purposes only. There is also ample parking space within the fenced and gated compound. Our classes are kept small so that you and your dog are guaranteed to get as much help as you need. You will also receive a free, comprehensive starter pack to assist you with the well-being and training of your dog in between attending our classes. We have classes on most days, evenings and weekends, so there should be a day and a time to best suit your needs. Debra is also qualified companion animal behaviourist, so please get in touch for help with your dog or cat - vet referral needed for cases taken on.

Another successful trip away for Debra who is now an Examiner for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Gold award! It’s been a few years since doing the assessments for Bronze and Silver so it was a tough day at the Kennel Club building with written, practical and interview tests all day. And, all that with a pulled back and snotty nose! I must say a huge thank you to all at the KC for their support and help, even walking the dogs as my back was too bad to even do that. 🥰
Back ‘up North’ now and ready to focus on classes, 1:1’s and the interclass competition! 🥉 🥈 🥇 xx

Well, having been made finalists for Dog Trainer of the Year, Sue and I have donned our none dog clothes and are attending an amazing awards ceremony.
Absolutely thrilled, and it took a few seconds to sink in, when Rixton Dog School was called as Highly Commended! So, not winners but top 3 is awesome! Well, Sue and I think so anyway! xx

Another awesome Rally competition from Sausage Sues Rixton Rally Reprobates ! Super well done to all and to Sue for her excellent tuition.
1st place, with a score of 208, went to Harley handled by Paul, 2nd went to Apollo handled by Sarah with a score of 206 and 3rd place went to Ben handled by Lauren with a score of 204. Judges Special was awarded to Agnes handled by Natalie.
Well done to Jorgie and birthday boy Pablo handled by Meg too! Excellent work all and the scores were super close! ⭐️ x

Hello all! I do hope you’re well and the gloomier weather isn’t making you gloomy too!
We’ve been very lucky to train outside with all classes and 1:1’s this afternoon and evening and it’s made me reflect on how incredibly lucky I am and I just wanted to reach out and thank you all for your support, encouragement and loyalty to our amazing school, Sausage Sue and myself. The commitment, dedication and love you show your dogs is heartwarming and unrivalled and you should all be so incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved from week 1 puppy classes to advanced obedience, agility and rally.
I know everyone thinks their business is the best (and they’re right in many ways), but I believe it’s having you as the best clients that creates awesomeness!
