Why do clipper blades get hot?
The answer is FRICTION, two pieces of steel moving against each other at high speed causes FRICTION.
Rub your hands together quickly for 30 seconds and feel how hot your skin gets, now imagine doing that at upwards of 1,000 cycles a minute.
Reduce the friction and you reduce the heat.

The easy, quick and simple way to reduce friction is to oil your blades correctly and regularly with Kojirō ™ Clipper oil which is specifically designed for use with clipper blades.

I'm busier than ever at the moment so my apologies if I don't respond to messages as quickly as I would like to, I will always reply it just may not be immediately.

My priorities as always are to ensure every item of sharpening completed is perfect, get round all mobile appointments on the day arranged for and turnaround every postal sharpening job within 48hrs of receipt.

Mobile appointment bookings currently have an approx. 10-14 day waiting time, so please try wherever possible to book in plenty of time, rather than wait until your down to your last 7 # or 10 # blade 😊✂️

Postal Sharpening is still guaranteed 48hr turnaround from receipt in my workshop (excluding weekends/bank holidays). No need to book in, just post your equipment as usual and remember to include your contact details and return address 👌

Mutneys Grooming Supplies are the show sponsors and will be supplying the competitors with amazing goody bags and having their trade stand at the show.

The amazing Lorraine Motteshead has confirmed to be one of the judges. I will announce the others as they confirm.

There will be 4 classes.....
Students & under 1 yrs experience
Under 5 years experience
Under 10years experience
Over 10years experience.

This show is for all those groomers who would like to try competing but are apprehensive to go straight into the competition ring or don't know how to enter, what class to go in, whether they have the right dog or are doing the right style for that dog.
Or for the seasoned competitor that have a new dog or breed to compete with but want to try it out in a show with no pressure to do their best when the dog doesn't have the experience of the comp ring/environment.
You will be guided all the way up to the day of the show, including what class to enter in a proper comp, what prep you can do and when to do it. What happens on the day of a comp, what is expected of you on the day and how it runs etc.
Everything will be covered so you can feel as ready and calm as possible.
Francine will be at the end of the phone or a message for any questions or worries that you may have anytime.

Places will fill fast so don't delay get in touch asap.

Also to round the weekend off at the same venue Colin Taylor will be holding one of his amazing seminars on the 26th September, where in the afternoon 5 competitors can get their grooms critiqued thoroughly and pointers given on the groom and corrections if needed by the main man himself Colin Taylor. Which will be like having a 1-1 and help you and other groomers improve their work and move forward in the competition ring.
