My niece is an animal behaviourist who works for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. Anyone looking for a new companion?
Could you give one of our loveable Labradors a forever home?
We’re looking for very active homes for some of our more energetic, strong dogs. Homes that could give them 2-3 hours of exercise a day, or more, which could include walking, running, hiking, or swimming.
These intelligent dogs have a very high drive to work and play, and love scent work, agility, search and rescue, or flyball. They would not be suited to first-time family homes.
One of these dogs is 18-month old Magnus, a yellow Labrador.
As well as his normal day-to-day activities, Magnus runs 5km every day with his current handler. We’d love to find him a permanent running partner, someone who is physically capable of handling him as he’s a strong, big lad with high levels of energy.
You can apply from anywhere in the UK via our website link. Please include details around your skills and experience and how you feel you’d meet the specific needs of these very active dogs. Please also state if you’d be willing to travel to meet one of our dogs.
If you’d like to offer Magnus a home, please quote “Magnus” in your personal statement at the end of the application.
We’ll review all of the applications and be in touch to discuss more if we feel you would be a good fit.
