We have some more great news. Toni is joining us at K9 Club! She will be based and covering all areas of Swindon! K9 Club are branching out and delighted to have you on the team! Read about Toni's background below!

Dogs are my passion and I’ve trained my own for as long as I can remember.

I am a certified dog trainer. I am also a certified Canine Reactivity Specialist and a Canine Body Language Specialist.
I have experience with lots of different breeds and sizes however…. I am a sucker for Bull breeds and large breed dogs.

I also love working with dogs who have Reactivity, Fear and Anxiety issues.
One of my own dogs…. An 8 year old Cane Corso suffers with all of these so I can relate to how difficult life can be at times.
With lots of understanding and reward based training it’s amazing to see these ‘misunderstood dogs’ flourish!

This Workshop is the perfect introduction into how canine massage can significantly benefit your best friend’s health.

Run by qualified canine massage therapist, Katy Conway from Time for Pooch.

In this workshop you will:
Gain a new understanding of your dog, knowing how to assess them for subtle signs of pain and discomfort.
How to look after your dog’s musculature
Learn 3 targeted massage techniques you can use on your dog home to ease pain and stiffness and calm an anxious mind. Maximum 8 dogs, £70/dog for the 2 hours workshop, training area: Gaydon, please make sure your dog is well socialised.

Please welcome Marta to the K9 Club Team. Marta is joining us as a trainer with a wealth of experience! Have a read below of her background! Welcome to the team!

Marta is a dedicated dog trainer and behaviourist with over seven years of experience. She specializes in working with fearful and reactive dogs, helping them overcome challenges and thrive.
She has extensive experience training puppies and adult dogs, focusing on essential skills such as leash manners and socialization. Having worked extensively in Warsaw, where reactivity is a prevalent issue among dogs, she developed a deep understanding and vast experience in this area.
She’s an owner of a Jack Russell Terrier and a Labrador Retriever. Her journey in the world of competitive dog training began with Obedience and Rally-O. Nowadays, she works on gundog training with retrievers having competed in Working Tests in both Poland and Sweden.

We have teamed up with Woodgreen Charity to give this little guy a great life. Meet Hurricane !It will be a team effort from us where already Matty, Lindsay and Kata jumped in. New Puppy Class Dates!

Puppy class stage one ( 4 month - 6 month )

Date Saturday 10 August 2pm

This class been design for your puppy needs . In that age we don’t want them to be perfectly obedient but we must build up our engagement with our puppy and start to introduce them the world . And we even have to teach them how to stay calm for example . This is a 5 weeks back to back course where your puppy will experience:
- loads of engagement game with you around other puppies
- new type of environments, to courage them during the playtime to get use to different materials and noise in our playground area
- foundation for sit and down and recall
- introduce the nice lead manners
- place command and calming down your puppy

This course designed to be fun and will teach you how to communicate with your puppy. It's £90 for 5 weeks. Every Saturday from 10th Aug. We will reschedule classes if the temperature is too warm. Only 5 places available! So book today at [email protected]

🐾Puppy Crate Training🐾

To stop a dark barking and crying in a crate, it's essential to address the underlying cause of the behavior. If your dog is barking and crying due to separation anxiety, you can try the following: Gradually increase crate time, starting with short periods and increasing the duration over time. Provide a familiar object, such as a blanket or toy or even a tshirt hoodie of yours, that smells like you to comfort your dog. You can also try pheromone diffusers or calming aids like Adaptil or calming music to help calm your dog. Additionally, exercise your dog before leaving the house to tire them out. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement training, your dog should learn to cope with being alone in the crate. Drop us a message if you need any puppy advice 🐾🐾

Scent Workshop

We are looking at running a Scent Workshop again soon! Does your dog love to sniff? Then this is the course for you! Nose work is so important and is part of their natural instincts. Scent detection sessions will teach your dog to identify and indicate on a scent. We will do this in different environments throughout the course. It’s a very low impact exercise that stimulates and is very mentally rewarding. This will be a 5 week course and we have 3 spaces on it. We will introduce your dog to a scent Learn how to read a behaviour change When to deliver the reward Teach an indication Teach a systematic search patten Search different locations for scent. Indoor, outdoor and people. It’s a great course for dog and handler! Any level of dog and owner welcome! The course is £250 for the 5 week course. Drop us a message if you would like to book on. Come and watch Loki on a Mantrailing lesson yesterday! Busy public place and shop full of dogs and people and still smashed it! Top job buddy! Thank to @petsathomeleamington for letting us train in the shop.

Come for a walk with us! Herbie started with us last month and had people and dog reactivity issues. Lesson 3 and walking next to our dog Marlow nicely and taking all the training on board! Cracking effort! This may not look like much but it’s a massive improvement and a step closer to our goal for him! Keep up the good work dude and see you next week!
