Our Sunday smile ☺️😂 (or shall we say, laugh).
Wishing you all a lovely rest of your day ❤️
Happy Wednesday everyone from our lovely Moose, who is here to remind you all of the importance of dental care!🪥😸
Brushing your pet's teeth for a few minutes each day is the best way of preventing dental problems. Periodontal disease, also known as gum disease, affects more than 80% of pet cats and dogs. Not only does prevention of dental disease ensure your pets are happy and comfortable, it also lowers the chances of your pet having to undergo dental procedures, which involve the risk of a general anaesthetic and can be very pricey!
Introducing your puppies and kittens to toothbrushes is essential to ensure that they are desensitised at an early age. Once they are comfortable with this, you can start to introduce toothpaste and active brushing. Our pets become accustomed to daily routines, so it is vital to stick to one, followed by lots of treats and rewards! (Don't worry, Moose was rewarded with his favourite treat after this video was filmed!)
At Emscote Vets, we sell Anident products, these can range from pet-specific toothbrushes and toothpaste to dental gels and oral rinsing solutions. We can understand that not every animal is as tolerant as Moose, so each product is designed to ensure that all pets are tailored to.
If you would like some more information, please give us a call on 01926 496422 and we can book you in for a free dental care consultation with a veterinary nurse, who can provide further guidance and demonstrations if required. 🐶🐱
Our Sunday Smile. Ike playing in his pool- thank youJulie for sending this! 😍❤️😍
Please share your pets keeping cool ! Maybe they will give others ideas- like playing with ice cubes, cooling jackets etc.
Stay safe and cool in the coming days and don’t forget the small pets, frozen water bottles can be useful, and leave some water out for the hedgehogs and wildlife x 🦔🐿🐾🐾🐾
At Emscote we aim to make your pet’s visit as stress free as possible. Sometimes we may suggest something to take at home to reduce their anxiety before a visit and others are happy with Pet Remedy, a natural herbal, spray on a towel! ( Also used by diffuser in the waiting room and kennels)
Alvin is demonstrating how much it relaxes him- he can sometimes be a bit of a handful but he was a real pussycat on his last visit 😻
Remember we have a cat area, and we have tables and basket covers for cats and small animals, just ask reception.
Please can we ask you to use normal leads for dogs , not extending, in the practice as we sometimes find this can lead to closer encounters than we would like! Your dog may be friendly but the next pet may be scared.

A Home grown Sunday smile. Millie is a bit of a regular patient ,and this video of her binking was sent to make us smile. We hope it makes you smile too.
It’s going to be another difficult, short staffed week, so once again I ask you to bear with us . And please share any videos to make us smile!
I was struggling to find a Sunday Smile , when Remy decided to help🙈😂
Please bear with us this week as we will be very short staffed and may need to cancel routine appointments .

Big shout out for Archie and our nursing team. His eagle eyed mum spotted he wasn’t eating in the morning and rushed him down as he has a recurring gut issue. He was bloated and painful and after he was examined, the nursing team administered his medications and fluids and within a short period he perked up and we were delighted to see him pick up and eat!
To some this is just a rabbit eating a dandelion, but it makes us happy!
Say hello to little Monty! Here he is showing Ashleigh his very impressive tricks during his consultation! Our team loves nothing more than to learn more about your animals and what makes them unique. We can definitely say that lovely Monty has left a lasting impression 🐶❤️
Munchie enjoying his food! 🐇
🐇💗 Look at Munchie here, doing so well after his dental procedure this morning 🐇🦷
His Mum told us how much he enjoys the syringe recovery food.. but we didn't realise how much! 🐰👅

With temperatures on the rise please remember to keep a bowl of water out for wildlife to drink! 💙
We thought we would share this lovely video of Spike with you all! 😂😁
