You might notice that when starting a meditation, your cat will be even more attracted to you and will join in alongside you.
Ancient buddhists documented meditation techniques with their cats and the results were quite remarkable.

🐱 Given the weather warning in place, I thought I’d do an extra post today 🐱
How to keep you cats safe during a storm.
🐱 Make sure your outdoor cats can always get back in so they don’t get caught in a sudden downpour.
🐱When the weather is particularly bad, keep your cats inside - lock cat flaps if you have them. Shut doors and windows.
🐱Set up a safe area - cats often feel happier in high up places, (make sure they can easily get up and down).
🐱Draw the curtains so your cats can choose whether to expose themselves to the storm.
🐱 If your cat is really scared then put the TV or radio on to drown out the noise.

This week we are going to talk about how to help your cats stay hydrated.
As we know our domestic cats originated from The African Wild Cat - today they are still able to survive on much less water than is ideal.
Water straight from the tap is not usually appealing to our feline friends as they can smell the Fluoride we add…
Ways around this could include;
💧Allowing the water to sit at room temperature, allowing the fluoride to evaporate.
💧Using water fountains, these use filters.
💧Using filtered water. (Yes, my kitty cats have their own filter water jug)
💧Trying cool boiled water.
💧Or best yet is collecting rain water for them.
They would also, prefer their water not to be next to their food or litter boxes - again going back to their primitive instincts, there is a greater chance of bacteria build up.
Do your cats drink enough?
You can add more fluids to their diets by adding a tsp or so of water to their wet food. (We will discuss food next week).
And
Freezing the spring water from a tin of tuna and giving it as treat.
Make sure you are keeping their water bowls clean.
Finally, try a variety of different vessels and places for their water - you might be surprised by how much more they drink.
