Some ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your pup
🦴 Long Walk/Hugs: Instead of just a regular walk, try a new trail or park. Pack some special treats for both of you to enjoy along the way. Make it a real adventure! Consider a “sniffari” where you let your dog lead and explore all the interesting smells
🦴 Get creative with the treats! Look up recipes for dog-friendly Valentine’s Day themed treats (think heart-shaped cookies or red velvet pupcakes - using dog-safe ingredients, of course!). Presentation matters too - use cute cookie cutters and maybe even a dog-friendly “icing
🦴 Buy a toy, we love interactive toys like snuffle matts, kongs and lick mats
🦴 Enjoy a pamper session, bath, massage, groom etc
🦴 Book a fun swim
🦴 Go to a doggy cafe
🦴 Find a dog-friendly spot with a nice view. Pack a special “doggy bag” with their favorite food and treats, and don’t forget a comfy blanket for them to relax on
🦴 Movie Night - Cuddle up on the couch with your dog and watch a dog-themed movie (like “Lady and the Tramp” or “Up”)
🦴 Donate to a Shelter- Honour the spirit of love by donating to a local animal shelter or rescue organization in your dog’s name

Monthly Dog Walks at South Causey inn
Saturday 1st February
Dog walking in the open countryside watch your pup splash in the river, run and explore the beautiful Beamish Woodlands. Meet at the entrance of the Inn and they set off at 09:00. The group will meet back at Inn at 10:00, where breakfast which is included in the dog walk ticket will be served to you at your table, which is available until 11:30.

* The walk sets off at 09:00
* The group is expected to return to the Inn around 10:00, where breakfast will be served.
 
The cost is £20 per person and includes:
* Photoshoot with F&E Photography
* Full English Breakfast
* Croissant and jam
* Fresh fruit with yoghurt
* Free-flowing tea and coffee

* Please be aware that the walk is not suitable for prams and wheelchairs, and it is a reasonably paced walk. Also, we ask all pet owners to comply with any new legislation on dog control and breed restrictions.

I chaperoned Arthur and his brother Bailey on a fun-filled hike up Simonside Hill. We enjoyed exploring the area and then headed to the wedding to capture some more photos and congratulate the happy couple.

Here are some tips for a successful training session:
🦴 Start with the basics: Focus on essential commands like sit, stay, come, and leave it.
🦴 Keep it positive: Use rewards and praise to reinforce good behavior.
🦴 Be patient: Training takes time and consistency. Don’t get discouraged if your dog doesn’t get it right away.
🦴 Make it fun: Incorporate games and playtime into your training sessions.

I just had to use photos of for this post as I was so blown away by how well her parents did with her training, from the little nervous puppy I met on the beach to the confident, friendly loyal lady at the wedding

Seeing Ash’s birthday celebrations yesterday got me reminiscing about his amazing day at his parents’ wedding at 🐾
We enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the River Tees in Barnard Castle and stopped by the local pet shop for some well-deserved treats before joining the festivities.
It was truly a magical day for all! ✨
