🎁🎄 CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX APPEAL 2024 🎄🎁

For the 8th year running we are launching our Christmas Shoebox Appeal to help with much needed donations to some wonderful charities.

🐈 New Beginnings is a charity that we have worked with since the practice opened in 2014. Run entirely by dedicated volunteers, they help to rehome stray or unwanted cats and cats that need rehoming for a variety of reasons. They also do a huge amount of work for feral colonies across the region.

🦔 Pawz For Thought is an animal charity based in Sunderland but operating throughout the North East of England. The charity is run by volunteers and mainly works to rehome companion animals but they do take in wildlife including hedgehogs and birds. They have recently taken in a number of hedgehogs from us that needed a little TLC before being released back into the wild!

🐕‍🦺 Happier Days for Strays are a local charity helping to find new homes for those stray animals in need - providing foster care, including any necessary veterinary care before going to their new homes.

These 3 amazing local charities could not survive without the dedication of their volunteers or the generosity of the public. Shoeboxes help to provide some much needed essentials for these charities.

If you would like to take part in our appeal just fill a shoebox with some goodies and hand them in to our reception team. Every donation helps whether big or small so don’t worry if you can’t fill a box just pop in with whatever you can spare. 🎁

Please make sure your donation gets to us by Friday 29th December. Don’t forget to label your box so we know if it’s for dogs, cats or wildlife/small furries.

DOG FOUND - HEWORTH ROAD, CONCORD.

He is microchipped but the telephone number does not work. A member of staff visited his address earlier but nobody was home.

The dogs name is Loki. If you know his owner, please ask them to contact the practice ASAP. He will be collected by the dog warden this evening if the owner cannot be contacted.

This is Eddie🐾😍 Today he decided to show the girls how clever he was… by escaping his kennel 4 TIMES🤣 when we realised it wasn’t a faulty kennel we thought we’d record him to let him show us his little trick! Luckily he wasnt trying to fully escape, he just wanted to say hello to all the other doggies and have a nosey at what the nurses were up to. He was a very good boy when it time to have his operation and actually stay in his bed afterwards😅 he was a pleasure to have in with us today❤️
