⭐️Understanding the difference between a home dog boarder and a sitter⭐️

We love helping dog guardians understand the Dog Pro world and what it entails so please share! 👇

As devoted dog guardians, we must make sure our doggos are happy and secure when we’re not around. Understanding the difference between a house sitter and a home dog boarder can help you make the perfect choice for your dog. Let’s break it down:

Dog Sitter:

👉Pops over to your place to look after your dog for long or short periods and will stay overnight if needed.
👉Often looks after your house too, from bringing in the post to watering the plants, on top of caring for your pet.
👉Perfect for dogs that prefer the comfort of their own home and routine.
👉Does NOT need a licence from the council

Home Dog Boarder:

👉Professionally licensed by the council and provides care in their own home.
👉Offers a welcoming and secure setting for your dog, away from your home.
👉Great for dogs that love to socialise with other dogs.

Choosing between a house sitter and a home dog boarder comes down to knowing your dog's personality and what will make you both feel most at ease while you’re away.

Be sure to ask for references and ask to see a current DBS check for somebody staying in your home and always ensure that a home dog boarder is properly licensed.

Hi Guys, I just wanted to touch base with you all on seeds - especially foxtail plant or in my childhood they were known as 'flea darts'

Shaped like the tail of a fox, the tip has seeds arranged in spikey clusters with backward-facing barbs. The spikes and barbs allow for one-way burrowing. Foxtails can attach to any part of your dog’s body and start the burrowing process.

In some cases, foxtails can burrow through the skin, Once inside, the foxtail continues to burrow, bringing bacteria and dirt along with it. The foxtail will continue to cause problems until it is removed.

Whilst I take every care in checking your dogs over before going home, it would be good practise to give them a once over when you’re home to avoid any missed seeds that may have stuck on your dogs coat.

We seem to have a big problem with seeds everywhere at the moment so I will be taking walks in places where they aren’t so abundant where possible.

Lots of love and happy walks always 🥰
