At the end of whats been a very tough but bitter sweet day, we can truly say, its been a blast, especially this weekend! The good old British weather couldn’t even give us a break for our last weekend operating as a riding school! We cant deny the weather has played a part in our decision to cease trading. Along with the rising costs of all our supplies and services.

What we can say though, is that even though there have been many ups and downs, we have absolutely loved being able to support so many clients, adults and children alike, to embark on or enhance their equine journey.

Today we have waved off most of our lovely boys to their new homes. We so hope they enjoy their new families and 1-2-1 attention and we wish their new owners the greatest of times with them. Lovely Tom has also landed on his feet heading off to a 5 ⭐️ Dorchester Hotel to pretty much semi-retire to!

A huge thanks and much appreciation to all the super staff and amazing volunteers for keeping the place ticking over and to the wonderful owners who have so kindly loaned their beloved ponies to us.

And to our clients, we wholeheartedly wish you all the greatest success in your equine endeavours! Whatever they may be. We will greatly miss each and every one of you and we are very thankful for all your support over the years. Anyone that has a stable card registered on the system will be contacted in due course.

My goodness. Its been a super manic day but an update on Cracker. He has found a new family and has a very excited little girl awaiting his arrival at the end of the month. Apologies to all that we hadnt had time to get back to. We are drowning a little in a sea of messages so please bear with us. We are trying to get back to people as quickly as we can!

In addition to the riding school boys Roger, our young British Warmblood will also be for sale.

He is a quality event or dressage prospect, passport name ‘Oakley Break Free’.

4yr British warm blood gelding by Catherston Oakley out of a ISH mare with King Of Diamond lines.

Currently standing at 15.2/3 and will mature at 16hh +.

Roger has the biggest personality and the kindest nature. He has been shown in hand both indoors and out. He has completely agility training as a yearling and had extensive ground work training.

He travels alone and in company in both trailer and lorry.

He has been backed and ridden away and will now be sold from the field but is ready to mature and be produced further.

We have had quite a lot of enquiries about our lovely herd that are now very sadly for sale. Its super hard for us as these boys have been the lifeblood of the business not only as riding school horses and ponies but as members of our team and family. We have owned most of them for many years. We are seeking family homes for them where they can enjoy some 1-2-1 time.

To save us responding seperately to all the enquiries we just wanted to post a little about them here. Should you be interested please do get in touch. We will be responding to those that have messaged us already in due course.

All of these boys are amazing at their jobs. Taking people, children and adults from complete beginners up to confident, independent and skilled riders. They are well schooled but they are also well behaved when out and about too. They arent worldbeaters but the are heart stealers 🥰 and anyone who does have one of them will have an amazing companion to enjoy all the fun that horseriding and ownership can bring.

📢 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 📢

We have held off posting this on social media until most current clients have seen the notice in the office.

I am saddened to inform our lovely clients that as of 26th January we will be closing our doors as a riding school. After many years trading its been a very difficult decision but with all the rising costs for goods and wages etc and a key member of staff moving on in her career its one that we have reluctantly had to make. 😔

We have loved teaching everyone over the years and seeing you all progress. We will certainly miss seeing you on a regular basis.

Sadly the horses and ponies will have to be sold but that gives us an opportunity to find them lovely homes where they can be loved by their human and enjoy hacks out and other fun stuff!

Clipping season is officially upon us again ✂️✨

✨ To prevent excess sweating caused by winter coats during exercise throughout the winter months

✨ for a variety of health reasons depending on the horse and to help with grooming and keeping the mud off over winter
