Clipping season is officially upon us again ✂️✨

Tom and Chester are proudly showing off their new hairstyles and looking and feeling fab ❤️

So why do we clip?

✨ to prevent horses overheating during exercise throughout the winter months when they grow a thick winter coat

✨ To prevent excess sweating caused by winter coats during exercise throughout the winter months

✨ for a variety of health reasons depending on the horse and to help with grooming and keeping the mud off over winter

Don't forget we offer a sponsorship scheme here at CEC on a monthly basis.
10am-12.30pm one Sunday per month you get to groom and tack up your sponsor pony and receive a ridden lesson as well as helping out with some jobs around the yard for your chosen pony.

£45 per month, please speak to member of staff for more information or to sign up.

Today was weigh in day for all the horses at CEC ⚖️
It was great to have Katie from Spillers feeds out for any other visit with the weigh bridge.
All the horses were weighed and given a body condition score and we were very pleased to be complimented on how well all the horses look and to be reassured that they are all happy and healthy and where they should be as we come into the winter months ❄️ 🩵
We also got some more brilliant advice on different feeds that are available and what each horse may benefit from 🍎🥕

🐴❤ Loan Scheme ❤🐴

Some of our lovely ponies are looking for a new friend to come and have some fun with them on our loan scheme each week.
Learn to care for your favourite CEC pony as well as getting time to ride in the school and practice what you have been working on in lessons. All in a safe environment with staff on site to help out!
Tuesdays 4pm-6pm and Sundays 2pm-4pm
There is the option to loan on both days each week or just one.

Currently available on the loan scheme are:
🐴Puzzle- Sundays only
🐴Harley- Tuesdays only
🐴Tom- Tuesdays only
🐴Cracker- Tuesday and Sunday
🐴Blue- Tuesday and Sunday

🐴 E-Riders Online Dressage 🐴

As some of you may have seen before, staff and volunteers regularly compete in E-riders online dressage all from our arena here at CEC. It is a great way to learn something new and give yourself something to work towards in a few simple steps:

✨Pick a test from the E-riders website to suit your ability
✨Learn your test and book a lesson(s) to practice riding it
✨ Ride your test and have a member of staff film it for you
✨Upload your test to the E-Riders page and await your results

To get booked in simply call the office to arrange your lesson(s) and filming session. If you aren't sure which test choose, speak to your instructor and they can help you with this too!

Rider Symmetry lessons on your own horse or one of ours. Have you ever felt slightly one sided or crooked, if so you could be effecting your horses way of going and long term soundness.
Have your symmetry assessed and start to make the corrections needed for an easier way of going.
