A few things that people tell you about your dog that you really don't need to listen to.

You shouldn't have dogs on the sofa or your bed.
They will think they run the house:
Nope, they are just looking for the warmest, most comfortable place to sit. Dogs also often enjoy sleeping in elevated positions to feel safe. Many also love to cuddle up to their humans. If you don't like having them on the sofa consider a p**f or raised bed that is at the same height. They can then still feel like part of the family.

You'll ruin them by spoiling them:
When did good food, comfort, compassion, love, and enrichment become spoiling? Spoil them rotten, they deserve it. But do remember to let them be dogs. Not allowing them to stick their nose up other dogs' bums, roll in puddles, and forage for disgusting things is not letting them be themselves. And dressing them up is not spoiling them, it's often stressing them out. That's all about your needs, not theirs.

You need to be more strict:
Nope, you need to be a calm, consistent guide who has great Canine communication skills.

You need to be alpha, top dog:
Nope. Dogs are part of the family. They need clear guidance, compassion, and good communication. If dogs did see in hierarchy terms then you already are the top dog. They cant eat, s**t, or p**s without your permission. It's ridiculous to think we have to put more restrictions on them.

Your dogs being naughty, bad:
Actually, most of the time they are just being dogs. They have to live in our confusing, human-centric world. It's OUR job to teach them and understand what normal dog behaviors are and give them outlets for these behaviors.

They are just dogs:
No more than we are just humans. They are sentient, emotional, complex, beautiful beings. It's okay to love them as much as humans and depending on the dog and human you can even love them more.

Why are you using treats to train? They should just want to please you:
Really??? Get over yourself and your outdated macho bulls**t. I think a few egos need to be checked.

What puts us on this pedestal? Humans are the most destructive species on the planet, we all need to be a little more dog.

Today is a good day! Our van is back on the road and walks are all back to normal! 🙌🏼 We are very happy to get the gang back together for their group walks and todays bunch certainly were to! Thank you all for you patience 🥰
Now to keep our fingers crossed it doesn’t cost us anymore money for a while🤞🏼🤣

Bit different from usual today without our van! 🤦🏼‍♀️ But solo walks or local buddy walks meant we could still get all the dogs out and about 🥰 Thank you so much to all our customers for being flexible while we are working from the car! We appreciate you all 💚
