New SCAM - Pretending to be Amazon

You get a call to say unauthorised purchases. They’re sending you a text with verification code.
They now want the code
It is from Amazon but it’s to slow them to change your password and gain access to your account…..
DO NOT GIVE THEM THE CODE
The text from Amazon says ”do not share this code with anyone”

Once they have the code you’re locked out of your account and they have access to all your card information and can change all your details
