What a sight! 😍

7 pairs of oxen took part in a very unique festival to celebrate our summer harvest!

A herd of ox-carts ceremoniously lead a procession from the main Bhaktivedanta Manor building to Holland Farm. The main cart escorted the utsav (festival) deities of Sri Sri Radha Gokulananda, which was tailed by hundreds of devotees singing kirtan! 🎶

Holland Farm, on the far western part of the Manor’s 78 acre estate, is the base of the Manor’s horticultural project. Many different vegetables, herbs and fruits are organically grown there. 🌱

It was truly a day to remember!

Srila Prabhupada explains “the perfection of one’s occupational duty, whether in the sphere of duty to oneself, one’s community or one’s nation, is judged by the degree to which the Lord is satisfied (ŚB 3.2.32), and the Vedic scriptures clearly explains the importance of caring for cows, an act that is most pleasing to the Lord. ♥️
