Tina is still doing well and still grumbling when I clean her out and weigh her. Her weight went up to 670g this week but was back down to 645g yesterday. Her weight has yo yoed since I brought her into the house with the shed being too cold. However, may not be too long now before power is laid to my shed and then she'll be able to go back in the shed with her heat mat on and any extra heating that's needed.

Over in Worsbrough Gilmore is happy and well, today’s weight up to 718g! 😍🙌🏼🦔

Update from Margaret:
Casper has been fast asleep for 5 nights. My holiday guests, Cath & Spike are the cleanest Hedgie’s I have ever looked after, obviously very well trained by Helen 😊

General
Sadly Snowflake died on Monday after losing loads of weight over 3 days nothing in 💩 sample

Update from Lesley. Tina had a tiny cough the other morning so she was checked over by Sean. He found a tiny bit of cap in her poo so gave her some meds. She seems to be okay now. Still in luxury in my back bedroom but I still get the impression she's not totally happy. Tut, they can be such fusspots 🤣

Update from Chelle
No change with my lot. Poppet is still snoozing. Norman is still making a mess, and Rascal is making good progress, but he is an incredibly shy hog, so I rarely see him.

Firstly, we would like to welcome Anna to the cleaning crew. Anna is participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Brinze award, so she has decided to volunteer with us.
Anna is already a junior release garden for us, but this gives her hand a on experience of caring for them before they reach rescue
Stage. 🦔⭐️🦔

Monday we had little Billie 330g come into us. OITD and really struggling. Wath Medivets checked him over and he has a broken hip.
Bring an all important female and after discussing all options , myself and the vets have decided to manage her with pain and
The capillaria parasites she has, give her a chance. If any changes or we feel she is suffering in any way, she will go back and be 🌈 . So for now everything crossed for Billie.
Shirley came in Thursday at at tiny 235g. She was skinny and OITD. Poor Shirley had capillaria and pas d over the hedgie 🌈bridge on Wednesday . She was just too poorly for us to save but she was safe, warm and loved 😢🌈
Friday saw Bert/Beatrix come in at 348g and out in the day. Poor hedgie was frozen and not responding well . After fluids and a lovely warm in the incubator, he/she passed
Over the bridge. Too late to save you little one but you were safe warm and loved🌈😢
Inmates
Maybel, Hetty, Michael and Sylvia have had a fantastic week despite battling nasty parasites. They have all added over 150g since last Thursday. Well done to the Quads. 🦔⭐️
Lady has been for a check up of her leg and amputation site. Nothing bad but we do need the swelling to go down. Come on lady🦔🙏
Sniff is a super good eater and has made great progress. He has finished meds now so eat sleep 💩 repeat for Sniff⭐️

If anyone would like to donate to the rescue we are short on brambles dry and semi moist biscuits, purina 1 kitten biscuits (pink bag) any meat/poultry cat biscuits.
Every bag of food, every newspaper all helps us help the hedgies.

We will also be at the Wath Christmas light switch on, with a stall full of hedgehog gifts and crafts.

I know lots of you have cameras set up in your gardens🦔👍🦔

🏅Competition time! 📣 Help us spot hedgehogs in our camera images and you could win a NatureSpy camera.

Teams of volunteers have placed our cameras at sites all over Britain, and now we need citizen scientists like you to help by spotting hedgehogs and other wildlife in the images generated.

We need to know what species are in the photos, so we rely on volunteers called ‘Spotters’ to help us identify what animals are pictured. This helps us to know which pictures to analyse. It’s good fun, and you never know what species will show up!

Fancy having a go? 🏆👀 The more images you classify between now and 31st December, the more entries into the prize draw, so the better your chances of winning! Find out more 👇

The week started with the loss of little Russel, which shocked me as he seemed to be doing so well since coming in, Sorry Margi, I couldn’t save him 🌈😢
Sniff came in Sunday from of our big hedgie fans Lynn Walton in wombwell , who wondered if sniff was walking “high” (this is caused by pain from parasites)
Sniff has given clear poo samples for 4 days before we finally found capillaria and lung worm. He is now being treated for both. Come on little Sniff 👍
