Do you have any unwanted books? 📚

We are running a Book Swap throughout May to give customers the opportunity to donate any old or new adult or children's books.

If you would like to make a donation, drop off your books at the Hub 🏠

We are open four days and don't forget, if you need to speak to us about your water bill, our team are more than happy to help. They can talk you through our affordability tariffs - where you could be eligible for a discount on your bill, our different payment plans, requesting a water meter and our Priority Services Register.

A big thank you too to Healthy Sandwell for their winter kits, helping to keep residents in our local community warm during the festive season ❄️

Thank you to everyone who has donated to our winter coat and pet food donation drives over the last two months 🫂

If you, or someone you know, need a winter coat, come in and see us at the Hub.

We will continue to take donations until we close for Christmas on Friday 20 December for any winter clothes and pet food which we’ll be passing onto West Bromwich Pet Pantry.

Join us from 10-12.30 for a cuppa, a free mince pie and some Christmas activities. We may also have a special guest popping in to say hello 🎅

Join us at the Hub next Tuesday for our Christmas Coffee Morning from 10-12.30.

Get into the Christmas spirit with a free mince pie, a cuppa, and activities - we may even have a special visit from Father Christmas 🎅

Thanks to Healthy Sandwell, and to those of you who have taken part in our winter donation drive, we have free winter-warming items available for customers including hot water bottles, blankets, coats, thermal socks and more! 🧦

It's hard to believe we're almost a couple of weeks into December already! 🎄

We have lots happening at the Hub between now and the end of the year. In between all of this, if you need support with your water bill or would like to find out more about services, come in and speak to our friendly team 😊

Here's what coming up at the Hub in December 📅

Next Monday, our Knit and Natter Group from Arts and Crafts Community Wednesbury UK will be with us from 9:30 to 12:30. This is available to anyone so if you enjoy arts and crafts, come and say hello 🧶

On Tuesday 17, we will be hosting a special Christmas Coffee Morning where customers can enjoy a free mince pie and a cuppa and also pick up some winter-warming goodies thanks to Healthy Sandwell. We will also be joined by Healthwatch Sandwell and Safeguarding for a community chat 🧣

As a reminder, we're still collecting winter coats to support people in need of winter warmth and pet food donations to help West Bromwich Pet Pantry. If you would like to make a donation, please come and drop your items down at the Hub 🧥🐶

As well as being a space to come in and receive support with your water bill, the Community Hub hosts a range of great sessions to support the local community 💙

For those who enjoy being creative, we have a Knit and Natter Group from Arts and Crafts Community Wednesbury Uk on Mondays from 9:30 to 12:30 and, on Wednesdays, we are joined by volunteers at We are Wednesbury for arts and activities from 14:00 - 15:30.

If you need help with budgeting or employment support, we host appointments for Citizens Advice Sandwell & Walsall on Mondays from 10:00 - 13:00.

Finally, through to December, we're collecting winter coats to support people in need of winter warmth and pet food donations to help West Bromwich Pet Pantry. If you would like to make a donation, please come and drop your items down at the Hub.

Tomorrow at the Hub we are hosting a cost-of-living event to help any of our local customers who need help with their utilities and home life 🏡

We have a range of organisations joining us in the day including:

NHS - for health checks
Citizens Advice – for debt advice
Local Energy Advice Partnership - LEAP and Green Doctor West Midlands – for energy advice
Kaleidoscope – for mental health support

We also have the Department for Work and Pensions - DWP, Sandwell Safeguarding and Life in the community 💙

Open to everyone, the Community Hub is there for you.

Please call in to see us if:

You are on our Priority Services Register and you want a little extra help – whether it’s for reading or understanding your bill if you have any medical issues we need to be aware of, or you are worried about bogus callers visiting your home, we can help.

You need help paying your bill – we understand it can sometimes be difficult to pay your bill, so we are here to provide help and advice on different ways you can manage this.

You are interested in switching to a water meter – if you want to find out more about how to switch to a water meter and the benefits of doing so, we will be happy to help. You could save around £100 a year by making the switch.

You want advice on saving water and money – taking care not to waste water really helps the environment, can lower your fuel bills and, if you are on a meter, can help your pocket too.

We regularly have community groups and other agencies using the Hub, so you can get help with other issues:

Jobcentreplus hold regular job fairs and have a job vacancy board in the hub which are changed each week.

Citizens Advice are based in the hub every Monday so that customers can seek expert money advice. Find out more about Citizens Advice.

SAFL (Sandwell Adults & Family Learning) run courses at the hub each week to support people looking for work. This includes letter writing, internet and email skills, as well as courses to help families with Universal Credit. Find out more about SAFL.

Breaking Bread the local foodbank, has joined up with us so that we can offer food bank vouchers on the days they are closed. Find out more about Breaking Bread Foodbank.

npower have teamed up with us so that we can offer customers in need “fuel bank” vouchers and warm home discount advice.

The hub also has a ‘Kids’ Corner’, a space to help keep your children to be kept occupied, while you have the opportunity to speak with us.
