Great movement from Bella.
She had cruciate ligament surgery early this year and now has some arthritis in her front leg. As you can see - it doesn’t affect her movement in the water!
She loves her sessions - a good stretch out, a good cardio exercise and great mental stimulation - her favourite time of the fortnight. 💦❤️💦
This is Bella on her first swim.
Not a lover of water in general, but with some gentle persuasion, she got in.
A few weeks later and today she practically dragged me in!
The next video shows Bella from a different perspective.
Happiness is…….
Having a roll on the grass in the sun after your hydro session
What does your dog like to do after their sessions?!
This lovely lady is Daisy.
Her fur sister Sasha is an older lady that comes to the pool regularly to help with her arthritis. Unfortunately, earlier this week Sasha was a little under the weather, so Daisy (who is fit and well) stepped up and took the appointment. She was a natural and soon mastered balance and turns.
We love helping all the dogs that come for rehab reasons, but sometimes it’s just lovely to have a fit healthy dog that gained confidence in the water & realised today that being out of her depth in water could be fun!! ❤️
Meet Pan - Young & Handsome ❤️
I can’t explain how good it feels when the penny drops and a dog learns how to swim - I can assure you that not all dogs can swim nor are they all naturals.
This is Pan’s second session, there was so much water splashed about the first time I couldn’t see, and his mum was as wet as I was 🤦🏻♀️💦🐾
However this is part way through the second session - mission accomplished - let’s see what session 3 holds….. 🤞🤞🤞

My girl Roxy - she has had bi lateral hip dysplasia since 6 months old, a new hip at 4 years old, a shoulder injury 6 months later - all led to her chronic arthritis which she suffers with today. On a concoction of medication, hydro, physio, acupuncture & laser…..she’s just turned 10 years old and whilst still very mobile, she can only comfortably walk 2km.
She’s always loved her walks & loves our holidays in the Lake District. It was hard last year as there was a significant decline in her ability.
So we’ve done this ready for this year. She has a carriage - as all Princesses need - she has taken to it very well and I’m delighted about it.
I had reservations about pushing a Labrador round in a buggy - wondering what on earth people will think of me - but I’m now pushing those thoughts aside & planning where we’re going to go on walks with our new found freedom.
Has anyone else had reservations about something like this?
Anyone else got any buggy pictures they’d like to share?
A year ago, my dog Roxy (who has severe arthritis) became afraid of being on a beach after an unknown incident which we think caused her some pain & then developed into fear & anxiety and associating pain with the beach.
She would not go on a beach & just lay down & shake, refusing to move, it was heartbreaking to watch.
After seeking help from Pet Behaviour Company - Lynn & Miri, we have been on a journey of changing pain meds & Roxy taking long term behavioural medication.
It was all worth it when this weekend she walked/ran onto the beach & had a fabulous few days being a dog & enjoying herself.
It takes a team effort to keep this dog smiling!! ❤️

Just to make our bank holiday weekend this is a lovely video of Jake, our amputee (who’s only just over a year old) doing his first solo swim. His confidence has grown immensely and his balance & straightness has really improved.
He’s been coming for about 6 months now and I am sure hydrotherapy will be a regular part of his life going forward, although now we’ve built up his strength & fitness, he is now on ‘maintenance’ sessions every 3-4 weeks.
Well done Jake - you are amazing ❤️
