Today is Stir-up Sunday, the last Sunday before Advent, and the traditional day to prepare and mix your Christmas puddings🎄🎁

Remember that raisins, sultanas and currants are toxic to pets, and ingestion of a small amount can be enough to cause kidney damage. It is not fully understood how these foods cause poisoning, and there is no correlation between the amount eaten and the likelihood of an animal developing complications. This means that even a small amount can be enough to cause serious kidney impairment.

It’s getting cold now ….I really noticed the weather change this week / all little daycare dog guests wrapped up in coats n jumpers to keep them warm n cozy 🐾

A massive shout out to the Amazing Hero Builder Man!!
Who very kindly helped me today when I broke down just outside Stanton Cross on way to Irthlingborough….

I was scared out of my wits 😬😥😱😳 I broke down just after a mini roundabout and I was blocking the traffic coming from the Wellingborough Road -

The abuse I experienced from drivers trying to get past me threw me into anxiety flat spin 😱🫤- people were beeping me, swearing at me making v up signs all sorts.🥵😳 So when this lovely man who must of been working in the near by Stanton Cross development pulled up to help me - he was like an Angel in disguise 😇 I burst into tears as after 36 years of driving ….it has never happened to me before ….so I was panic stricken with all the traffic plus I was frightened to the safety of my 6 doggy daycare guests 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 who were all harnessed in my car and patiently waiting for their walkies 🐶🐕🦮🐩🐕‍🦺🐶

I wish I could at least buy this man a drink 🍺 so maybe if you know if someone who mentioned helping a crazy dog lady broken down near Whitworths Irthlingborough you can put me in contact so I can thank him.

In the end with the support of my lovely friend Debbie Lynne who is very unwell 🤧 but still helping me - while I was in floods of tears 😭 and also my big brother Phil who was my knight in shining armour 🦸‍♂️we got the car fixed and it was nothing serious 🚗🚌but my goodness the verbal abuse from the passing cars horrendous !!!

The police were brilliant so big shout out to thank them too 👍

Who enjoys Sundays?

We are working on next years programme of events and we are keen to get an idea of how many people find Sundays a drag if you don’t have any plans?

We currently run our Sunday roast once a month, but we are looking at offering an additional home-cooked lunch each month (next year) if the interest is there.
