K R Equestrian Services I offer a truly professional clipping service, with over 30 years experience. Clipping young nervous I have many years of breaking and schooling young horses.

With over 40 years equestrian experience including 17 years in racing, which included riding in races. I have spent the last 12 years enjoying my eventing and dressage. Having taught the pony club and local people I am pc accredited. I strongly believe horses CAN talk to us!!! It's learning to listen and understanding them. Very often a behaviour problem can be very easily solved. I offer a clipping services with both mains and battery clippers.

It’s turning out to be a ♥️ kind of week
2x lovely horse/pony clipped yesterday for Ed Channing and today dear Murphy for jo Thomas who is my oldest customer💕 I didn’t even put a head collar on him. Last but not least a lovely pony owned by Becky , nice Irish clip and mane tidy.

Quick update …. I currently have pneumonia !! But on the mend and back to clipping on Wednesday. I have had to move clients around, In which I would like to thank them all so much for being so understanding. 🙏🏽
I am fully booked for the next couple of weeks with a couple of spaces available week starting oct 31st.
Once again Thankyou for being so understanding 😃

Wash the horse 🚿🧼

Every winter we promote washing horses prior to clipping, this winter is no different 🤭

WHY❓
📍Your horses comfort- prevents hair snagging and pulling in the blades
📍Your clipper- reduces strain on your machine
📍Your blades- helps longevity of blade sharpness
📍Finish- ultimately you will achieve a much better finish by washing prior to clipping

❌Avoid❌ using any pre clip oils or coat sprays prior to clipping these can coat your blades and cause them to generate heat. There is no substitute for a good bath and or groom ✅

*if you are in a situation where bathing and stabling prior to clipping isn’t an option hot cloth every day in the run up to clipping and keep the horse adequately rugged so they are dry and clean- a thorough groom taking a full hour that works up a sweat then the day of clipping will suffice*
