Itโ€™s been a busy few weeks here! Lots of 1-1 sessions and classes, its been so lovely to be part of your training with your companions.
Iโ€™ve also been doing some more CPD over the last few weeks, participating in an ACE course. As dog trainers we need to know about dog psychology but we look at the dog as a whole and so there are a lot of things we need to know about. I love getting the opportunity to connect with other trainers whether they are local, the other side of the country or from another part of the world. This gives us all an opportunity to increase our knowledge and skills as everyone will come from different backgrounds with different experiences. The dog training community is such a lovlely and supportive bunch of people!
I will now be taking a few days off to spend some much needed quality time with Blaze at the beach. I will be catching up with messages and calls today but will be off work tomorrow (Friday 8th) until Wednesday 13th October. I will try and respond to some messages while away but apologies for any delays.

Good news! The JR order of chews arrived today! A big selection which will be available in classes or for local delivery/collection.

I am now off work for a few days and will be back on Wednesday 1st September. Blaze is currently recovering from a little op so I will be focusing on him but I will reply to messages and emails as quickly as I can.

Hope everyone enjoys the bank holiday weekend! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Does wearing trainers make me run? No.

If I choose to run trainers support my feet and protect me from injury. But they're not the reason I run. If I run it's because of how running makes me feel.

Does wearing a harness make my dog pull? No.

If my dog chooses to pull a harness protects his neck from injury*. But it's not the reason he pulls. If he pulls it's because of what pulling achieves...normally that it gets him to where he wants to go more quickly.

Consequences drive behaviour. Not equipment. Harnesses don't make a dog pull any more than my trainers make me run. But they do make it safer.

Itโ€™s been a busy couple of weeks here! Hoping everyone is keeping cool!
With the hot weather set to stay around for several days there will be no daytime walks during the week and instead I will be doing house/garden visits to those who need them to provide the dogs with a toilet break and company.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
