Crumpets daily dinnertime ritual (starts around 4pm, dinner is at 6)
1. Wheeze gently as if suffering from a mild asthma attack, whilst looking like a depressed teenager
2. Groan softly, as though experiencing physical pain and mental anguish
3. Turn the volume up and change the tone to impatience and disbelief at the appalling service
4. Bark loudly and repeatedly until the humans feed you just to save their own sanity
(Crumpet is 13.5 so at this point she gets away with just about anything
RAW FEEDING!! If you really don't like the idea of feeding your dog a raw diet ...PLEASE READ ON! 🤣
I am a huge advocate for raw feeding, my own dogs have been raw fed for many years and absolutely thrive on it. This is my mums dog Mini, she is 4 and has always been fed with a 'high quality' cold pressed kibble (despite my nagging at her to feed raw!)She has had anal glands problems for a while now, they kept getting infected and she had to have expensive and painful treatment at the vets followed by antibiotics. Recently they started swelling up again and I said to my mum ' this is not something you can keep fixing, you need to prevent it- feed raw now!' She did! After a week the swelling had gone down and Mini is loving her grub as you can see.
My sisters elderly cat had chronic constipation requiring repeated anaesthetics and clearing out at the vets. She switched him to raw and is now able to manage his condition at home.
I am speaking from experience when I say that I see so many health problems in my doggy customers that could either be resolved completely or at least helped by switching to a raw diet..these include
Yeast overgrowth (cheesy feet)
Ear infections
Anal gland problems
Bad teeth
Behavioural problems
Joint problems
Allergies
Hotspots
Diarrhea/constipation
I'm sure there are many more conditions that a raw diet would help, these are just the ones I can easily identify as a groomer. What if, instead of treating these 'symptoms' with expensive medicines, we could prevent them from actually happening at all? If you've tried raw before and your dog didn't do well on it, they may well be intolerant of a certain protein, like chicken- this can be resolved by doing an elimination diet. Feeding raw is easy you can buy a premade mix with the correct ratio of meat, bone and offal from @therawdogfood.co
If you'd like to chat about raw feeding, I'm always happy to offer advice, it's not gross it's a beautiful thing to feed a 'species appropriate' diet 😊
Teddy's quite bossy when he wants a treat 🤣
Lovely Misty the cockapoo is a year old and came for her first ever groom today 😲 she had to go short due to matting but she did so well such a sweet nature 😍
