We've a handful of spaces on tomorrow's *FREE* TRY BEFORE YOU BUY - CHAINSAW DEMO EVENT – Saturday 25th January 10am – 2pm, at Congresbury Store, BS49 5JG. No purchase necessary, just an opportunity to feel yourself how the different saws cut and handle.

To book your place please call our Congresbury Store on 01934 832318 first thing from 8am or pop-in to store and if we can fit you in we will.

You'll have the opportunity to cut with a range of both Petrol and Battery STIHL Chainsaws. You'll also get a Free STIHL Goodie Bag.
Whether you’re a domestic user, using a saw occasionally to cut some firewood, or a Professional user using your saw daily or even somewhere in between this event is for you. The sessions are being run between 10am to 2pm, in 30 min time slots with a maximum of 4 per group. Come rain or shine the event will be going ahead (as it is undercover).

Our STIHL specialists will be on hand on the day to demonstrate the saws and talk about the differences in power, weight and cutting chain types. Full PPE will be provided for the Demo and the attendee must already be proficient in the safe operation of a chainsaw as this is an opportunity to compare chainsaws and not a chainsaw lesson. A compulsory disclaimer must be signed. Over 18s only.

'Mum' has been the word this past week as Tincknell Country Store, Congresbury, has been host to BBC Radio Bristol's presenter Claire Carter's Cardboard Cart life-size cut-out. We've been sworn to secrecy leaving it to the listeners to spot her where she has been stood since last Monday in pride of place alongside our Dog Food Banners in our shop window.

If you've been listening you'll have no doubt recognised Nick's voice. Did you guess correctly? Was it the Millennium Bridge that gave it away or the fact that Tincknells has been in Congresbury since 1963?

Claire was threatening to keep the feature running until a selfie was taken with her Carboard persona so luckily for us we didn't have to come up with more clues for this week as Pepe came to the rescue and was the only person to have taken a selfie with Cardboard Cart and sent it in to BBC Radio Bristol.

We'd like to thank Pepe by giving him a £20 Gift Voucher to use in our stores. We don't know Pepe's full name, or even if he lives in Congresbury or was passing through, so PLEASE SHARE THIS POST so he sees this and can get in touch and claim his reward! Pepe will need to bring in to store proof of the selfie he took and sent in, showing us the email or message. ID may be asked for (admittedly its not the most common of names in Somerset so we don't expect to get more than one Pepe claiming this).

CFS Storage Plus is an ethanol-free unleaded petrol, designed to be storage stable for up to three years.

CFS Storage Plus is designed to keep the whole fuel system unaffected for years. It will stay fresh in fuel systems for at least three years and will not destroy fuel lines, corrode carburettors or make fuel injectors stick, unlike unleaded petrol with ethanol. As it is ethanol free, it does not absorb water thus keeping the fuel system from rusting. A high octane level of 99 RON and 92 MON gives better protection against detonation than UK Super Unleaded. Burns extremely cleanly and aids throttle response and acceleration.

That's it folks!! Our stores are now CLOSED for Christmas!!

Our Wells and Congresbury teams have now headed home for a much needed break!!
