Morning everyone - after the rain last night there used to be alot of flooding in the lanes - it’s all passable if you are coming to the yard but go slowly . There used to be no flood outside the yard in the lane thanks to Gary!

Wanted - someone 18 or over to work on a Saturday morning helping with Pony Morning .10am - 12.30. Must be experienced with basic stable management , and enjoy working with children under the age of 14 .No riding teaching needed .We need someone to take the on the ground session each week with enthusiasm and care.Please message Nikki on 07866596109 if you are interested.

What is so good about the Légèreté system of training is that it embraces all horses and ponies , no matter what shape or size , and you can start learning the principles of good horsemanship from any age.As a licensed teacher of the school it’s rewarding to be teaching many different ages to follow a horse friendly path .Here’s a video put together by Becky Holden showing a few of my fellow Légèreté teachers and their horses.

The weather was great for our two day clinic ,yesterday and today Many thanks to all our riders and spectators, Caroline Fry for her flawless organisation and my friend, Kate Sandel, of course, for joining me to lecture and teach .On these courses we have chance to take an in depth look at all sorts of things related to Légèreté - biomechanics, rider position, logical schooling exercises for horses and more .We shall be holding another two day clinic in the autum...

Maddie and Flora looking happy after their clear showjumping round , in the combined training at Mendip Plains.Maddie has been putting in a lot of work during the past few months to get herself and Flora ready to compete, so it was great to see them enjoying the whole experience.

First British Dressage Quest outing for the Burcott Babes last night at Mendip Plains E.C. Good performances all round from horses and riders.😊
Thanks to everyone who helped out to get us there on time and to Brigid Grant for some team arena riding coaching to get everyone ready.

Even the teachers need teaching!
Just back from a great three days with Légèreté Master teacher, Sylvia Stoessel up at Naturally Light Equitation Centre.
Lessons, spectating and catching up with friends can’t be bad.
Concentrated learning is hard work but very rewarding and a good way to check in on any bad habits you may be developing😂
