We offer home visits for cats for when you’re on holiday. We feed, cuddle, change litter and water and bring mail and put bins in and out.

We have care for Rascal (tabby) and Angel a good few times when their mum is away. Rascal is shy but he trusts me now, best feeling in the world is an animal realising you are safe! They now have new cat sister their Mum rescued in Japan! I’m doing my best to earn her trust and letting her decide when she’s ready.

How can you tell you’ve done your job well? The dog takes himself bed and even opens the door to let himself in. Sleep well Hugo 🥰

We had a little birthday party for Rottie Duba last night at the Lincoln Dog Fields. All 4 dogs had great fun.

Duba just turned 2 and his Mum Dani is a dog walker for PetMatey Lincolnshire. Duba is the sweetest most gentle boy, very much a bigger version of our Vera.

What is a meet and greet and why is it important?

Basically we want you and your animals to have the opportunity to meet our dogs (where needed) and meet us with no pressure. It’s completely free and done either at your home or a neutral location (when introducing our dogs to yours).

We know, as we are annoyingly obsessive dog pawrents, how much trust it takes for anyone have your animals in their care. We want you to ask us anything, to see us interact with your pet(s) and see what they think of us.

We want to find out more about your pets, their likes and dislikes, allergies (if any), if they have any behavioural issues we should be aware of etc.

We have forms to fill in should you decide to go ahead but strongly believe the best way to start is by meeting you and them!

Let’s talk about first aid kits!

We personally have 4 and also some extras.

We carry a mini one from poorly paws on walks in our walking bag. As it was recommended by canine first aid specialist Rachel Bean and comes with 24/7 veterinary support! We also have a leucillin all rounder antiseptic spray which is good for humans too (Ruth is clumsy!) in the bag.

At home we have a huge animal first aid kit that was designed by a vet nurse and some extras too.

In both cars we have good first aid kits and extras.

Also don’t forget to have 3 vital numbers in your phone: your vets number, the nearest emergency vets number and the animal poison line which anyone can contact (01202 509000). I also have these on a bit of paper with me in my bag in addition to on both of our phones.

As the British military saying goes “Prior Planning Prevents Pretty (well another word is often used) Poor Performance!”

We have the pleasure of walking, playing and feeding Winnie who is a 10 week old mixed breed (not sure what yet as she’s a rescue but a DNA test has been done). She’s absolutely adorable and loves everyone

In our opinion all animal first aid courses should be taught by veterinary professionals. We will only attend/ take classes by highly qualified practitioners because, quite frankly, we want to be the most prepared we can be in case of an accident. We also carry a first aid kit on walks with us that is promoted by vets and vet nurses.

The next course by Rachel Bean in Lincolnshire is on the 29th March. This is hands on and honestly amazing. We recommend it for both professionals and pet parents.

Ruth met Rory the Sharpei with PetMatey Lincolnshire and like everyone who met him completely fell for his charm. Yesterday he passed surrounded by his Mum and just a few of those who love him (It’s a very long list). Sending so much love to his Mum Louisa. The bond you two have is just beautiful and doesn’t change because he is no longer here.
