📣 Announcing Amy Paige from Amy's Tails of Dog Training, as our newly qualified Instructor! 📣

Amy brings enthusiasm, creativity and dedication to her training. We love the energy she brings to teaching and training, and we're very excited to see how she takes the Scurry Dog Games on as part of her training with handlers and dogs! 🤩

📍Amy is based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.

Amy says... "I'm so happy and proud to be a qualified Scurry Dog Instructor. Dog Parkour!

I do this regularly on walks with my dogs, why?

It helps boost confidence, improves balance and also Proprioception training, which focuses on enhancing the dog's awareness of its body in space, improving coordination, stability, and confidence on various surfaces.

So go and have some fun with your dogs and practice dog parkour! 🐕

Amazing work done today by Dilly the rescued LabX.
Dilly came for a 1:1 today to work on recall, she loves to sniff and play with high energy dogs, so doesn't always come straight back when called.
So we worked on some fun activities that will help make coming back to mum just as fun. 😁

We worked on some scent work games to put that nose to good use-🐶
1.using food in a toy food pouch and dropping it as we walk, then hunting back to it together (seekbacks)
2. Kong, teaching Dilly to search for a red Kong.
3. Recalling and then scatter feeding at our feet.

We also introduced Dilly to a new toy to help build drive for coming back when called from bigger distractions, and tapping into that chase and grab instinct. 🐕

We practised some eye contact and capturing good behaviour. 👀

She was a little super star 🌟 and an absolute joy to work with today 🥰

Me and Darcey the gigantic 7month old Irish wolf hound pup just have a special bond 🥰

I've been working with Darcey and her family since they first got her at 8 weeks old through my puppy 1:1 package.
She is an absolute dream and the sweetest thing 😍 although she has no idea of her size or strength and decided to tooth headbutt me in the eyebrow today, thanks for the nice lump! 😅

Who needs a Darcey cuddle 🙋‍♀️ ?

Mantrailing introduction sessions‼️

Mantrailing is teaching our dogs to find people for fun. This sport is completely dog lead, meaning any dog can join in and enjoy the most natural behaviour to our dogs.... tracking/trailing. 🐾
