🎉The news is out! We wanted to say a huge thank you to our patron, the one and only Ricky Gervais who has made an incredibly generous donation to go towards the care of our dogs. We are one of 11 charities that Ricky has chosen to support this winter, and we, and our dogs, could not be more grateful. ❤
Ricky Gervais is donating £1.91million to worldwide animal charities, from the extra profits generated by selling platinum tickets for his Armageddon tour.

🐾Meet The Walker 🐾
Hi my name is Ocean, and I am so excited to be joining the team of 'Lead The Way'!
My two dogs, Ruby and Wolf, have been walking with Natasha from her very first day, and it really inspired me to follow down this path. My love for dogs started from a very young age. I always had and grew up with family dogs, starting with Old Tyme Bulldogs, leading to many more. I have very early memories of going to choose my sweet girl Lily as a child, a British Bulldog, but I always say that she chose me by the way she greeted me when I went to meet her and her beautiful brothers and sisters. I grew up along side her and she was truly a family member to us. I sadly lost her when she was 12 years old last November. My family have bred dogs my whole life so I have been surrounded by puppy love which has taught me the importance of them needing a healthy, loving up-bringing. Everyone surrounded by me calls me the dog whisperer because I have a calming nature which allows dogs to trust me.
Our Ruby, who we rescued from Romania, came with extreme social anxiety and no trust in humans but she has now become my little shadow and best friend! She grows with confidence each and every day thanks to her cheeky little brother Wolf who has taught her to play and to allow her to trust other dogs and come out of her shell.
I can not wait to meet all of you and start building a bond with you and your beloved fur-babies! 🙂

Hi, my names Leanne and I’m a walker for ‘Lead The Way’. 🐾
I’ve been around dogs my whole life from Alsatian’s to bulldogs which I currently own. I’m also a carer and love being out in the community. It comforts me to know I’m helping my clients and making a difference to their lives. I take great pleasure in going on holidays, walking, being outside- in the sunshine mostly and meeting new faces. I’ve also lived abroad in numerous countries taking our animals along with us. My interests are my family, friends and animals, Mainly dogs of all shapes and sizes. The happiness and joy they bring to our lives is unconditional! ❤️
I’ve known Natasha for over 10 years now, we’re not only work colleagues but best friends. I can solely depend on her through the good and the bad which is irreplaceable- she inspires me everyday!

🐾Meet the walker🐾
Hi, my Name is Natasha and I am the face behind ‘Lead The Way, Herts’.
My love of dogs started when my parents brought home a border collie pup (Velcro). Being an only child we soon became the best of friends and I fondly remember chasing one another for hours up and down the hallway, much to my parents dismay.
Velcro was intelligent, beautiful and made the perfect mother to her 7 puppies. Being a young child and being able to experience the birth of our puppies imprinted my love for canines and all animals in-fact, and so from there we decided to extend our family and kept a puppy… Zip.
I consider Velcro and Zip the seed to a love that has only flourished over the years. As I started my own family of course came our own family pets. At 18 years old I rescued my first pet as an ‘Adult’, a most perfectly, imperfect long legged, jack russel cross, my ‘cut and shut’, Georgie. We had 17 long years , and accomplished a lot together from holidays, moving house, 2 children, and working for a dog rescue charity and fostering dogs saved from Romanian kill shelters.
3.5years ago I was given the opportunity to work at a care farm in Borehamwood. Not only furthering my career with working alongside adults with additional needs but it also gave me the opportunity to work with a range of farm animals. In this time it has taught me a great deal and have a really amazing insight into farm life and gave me the chance to work with some truly inspirational people.
My heart always comes back to my roots though, and that is caring for dogs. Now a mummy to 2 French bulldogs walking dogs is a passion of mine. We have walked all over the country from beautiful beach walks in Broadstairs Kent, to mountain walks in Wales.
With all this in mind why not turn it into my dream career!

‘T’ is for Tash, the sweetest little soul I know.
I do not like to disclose the names of the dogs I walk for confidentiality purposes for the dog and owner but this lady is more than an initial. I’ve only been walking this girl for a matter of months but the imprint she’s made on my heart will last a lifetime. The oldest lady of the bunch.
Today has been a tough day and one no owner wants to make and no walker wants to witness. Saying a forever goodbye is the hardest of them all. You will be dearly missed, your memories cherished always and in our hearts for eternity. Sleep well Tash. ♥️ 🌈

On Friday we suffered a huge loss in Lead The Way pack... our Tia. Tia was 11 years young and full of life. I was always greeted with the biggest of lab smiles and bouncy feet. Even at 11 years old Tia would keep up with the youngest of dogs and still enjoyed a zoomie in a puddle and chasing her friends. Another little piece of my heart gone, but so many memories to hold on to. I hope you’re reunited with your sister ‘Tash’. So very loved and so very missed. 🤎TIA🤎
