Bathtime
There's been a lot of activity at Home Brood over the last few days starting on Sunday with the arrival of the two call ducks Coco and Daisy who are settling in well and were very keen to be introduced to our resident trio this morning. Then yesterday we became proud parents of 5 lop bunnies and today to 4 more Rex bunnies. All are doing OK so far.
Then, this afternoon, we took charge of a further 2 call ducks who are in need of a little love and tlc after being attacked at their home by some nasty turkeys. Here they are enjoying themselves in our bath whilst we sorted out the quarantine area 😘🦆

Something I’ve waited a while for is a lady Amherst I was lucky to be given the chance to have this guy he doesn’t look much now but when he’s full grown he will be a gorgeous bird no bigger then a chicken in the body but with his tail he will be about 160-200cm long 😍 can’t wait for next season when we can begin to hatch these guys out. 3 days old and the colours are already popping on these kits 😍
New comer to the fold is Faline. She is a Rex rabbit and at only 4 months old is struggling with muscle atrophy. This is where she’s not been able to use her back legs properly so they're under developed making her wobbly on her feet and her movement seem a little stiff. With good exercise and loads of enrichment it’ll soon sort itself ☺️
