7 AM starts this week as it’s been hot hot hot for the dogs! Starting off with special guests Betty and Bruce who were here with us whilst their owner was on holiday.

All dogs have been able to have a safe fun walk before the heat of the day in shaded woods with plenty of water breaks or swimming/paddling - down by the popular “doggy” beach

And for those owners out all day there’s been pop in visits

Thanks you to all my wonderful clients for being so accommodating, as I appreciate that time in the morning for pick up can be a very busy family time! But as we know the dangers of heatstroke are real!

Normal services resume next week- forecast rain! Hope everyone enjoyed the Summer!!

Big welcome to Simba, the fun loving Cavapoo with a fantastic zest for life but also a very impressive recall - one very happy me! ❤️

Also a shout out to Dave, the Cocker Spaniel puppy, who joined his first group walks this week and he’s been such a superstar. He’s loving his new freedom and his friends!

Well it’s been five years since I said “goodbye “ to accountancy and launched Walk The Dog West Bridgford

What a fantastic journey it has been and still is! I feel really lucky to spend my days doing something I absolutely love. So a big thank you to all you owners who trust me with your beloved pets ❤️

I’ve just looked back over those five years and of course posted some photos- warning there’s a lot!! From the fabulous walks to the pop ins on those hot days and of course not forgetting the cat/ rabbit/ chicken visits too!

Gus, the high energy Sproodle, with such zest for life! I was wishing I could bottle it in the middle of a downpour this week!
And
Izzy- the adorable Dachshund, Reggie, my other Sausage was delighted ❤️

Say “hello” to Nahla, the Vizla. I had the pleasure of walking her whilst her owners were on holiday. We had great fun and despite only being a puppy she already had some lovely manners❤️
Also a huge welcome back to Reggie who has been on an amazing holiday. I received such a welcome- lovely to have him back with the crew

A very busy enjoyable week! A big welcome to Billy, the Cocker Spaniel, who has joined up here at Walk the Dog West Bridgford, he’s already making lots of new friends ❤️
Also lovely to have Ronnie who popped in for a walk, although he was missing his “partner in crime” Reggie who returns next week😁
Must also mention Colin the Patterdale Puppy who is certainly keeping me on my toes!

Back from holiday to- well rain really!
However, no damp spirits here at Walk the Dog West Bridgford
Great week and two new big welcomes to the team- firstly the lovely mannered Cocker Spaniel,Molly, on the lead at the moment whilst testing her recall but looking really good. Secondly, Colin, the Patterdale Terrier Puppy. Only four months old so just pop in visits for now until he can join us on our group walks- naturally he is still to learn his manners but it’s work in progress!

Lovely fresh walking this week, the dogs have certainly enjoyed the cooler temperatures as have I! Both Cassie and Ralph are sporting their new Summer haircuts-just gorgeous ❤️

A useful reminder for today- when is it too hot to walk your dog? Keep your dog safe, they won’t die from missing a walk, but could die if walked in excessive heat……

Big welcome back to Ralph after his three week recovery ❤️Was so lovely to see him back to his normal self, full of beans and of course I got the best greeting!
Also had the pleasure of pop in and walks with Toby whilst his owners were away.

What a fantastic week. Some lovely dog walking adventures and plenty of hide and seek in the long grass ❤️
Even managed to spot some signets and goslings!
We’re all loving the warmer weather, but we did have plenty of water stops and a quick rest with treats too of course ( for the dogs naturally and maybe me too ❤️)

Meet Ronnie- the long haired Dachshund- a friend of Reggie’s! I couldn’t help but smile when I was calling their names! He dropped in this week and we had a fabulous group walk

A big hello to Kingsley, the lovely Labradoodle, who is joining us for the next few months. He’s already made friends with the rest of the crew, and it’s been fabulous watching them all play. Although his love for water and all
things muddy seems to have rubbed off on the rest of the dogs… cue lots of muddy towels this week!
