Hi everyone, just a little update, we are finally home from hospital, Joey is doing well but still has to have his feeds and fluids through a tube in his nose and he's very weak but he has the biggest smile on his face to be back and is being such a trooper! We are hoping that he should be able to eat and drink by himself and have his tube removed come the end of the Easter holidays so he can get back to school and I can get back to work. In the meantime I will continue to be in touch to cancel appointments day by day and then once I 100% know where we are at will start calling everyone I've had to cancel in order to get you all rebooked in. I won't be taking on any new customers or any new bookings until I'm caught up with everyone who's missed an appointment xx thank you all for your lovely messages and support during what's been a very scary time for our family ###

Hi everyone, just to update thank you for all your lovely messages I'm not able to reply to everyone, so just jumping on here as it's easier, JoeJoe is still in hospital and will be for at least this week we haven't got a timeline right now, doctors are still trying to figure out what's going on as he came in with pneumonia and now have a whole new thing going on with lots of nasty symptoms. He's been sleeping alot this afternoon and his pain seems more managed now but as you can imagine he's feeling very low and sorry for himself and it's very worrying for us all, started more meds today and now has a tube fitted as well as his canula as he isn't able to swallow right now, hoping we will see some improvement tomorrow with his new extra medication ###

Hi everyone, my youngest has been poorly for over a week and we have been in hospital with him the last few days and he has pneumonia, he's doing better but not sure on timescales as to how much longer he will be in and after that when he will be fit enough to return to school so I will be having to move some appointments. I will be contacting anyone who will be affected once I am able to get my diary too me tomorrow but just wanted to give a heads up and make you all aware of our family situation at the moment ###

We are broken. After only being diagnosed in July we lost my dad Bob to lung cancer in the early hours of the 28th August. I can't even begin to wrap my head around the fact that we are not going to see him again, he was my absolute rock. From the moment he came into my life he has showed up for me everyday, always put my needs ahead of his, he has been my compass to guide me and teach me, my shoulder to cry on my person to put the world to rights with and enjoy allowing our crazy imaginations to run away together with - my plan for the worst but hope for the best, my master bodge it fix it extraordinaire, the catcher of all creapy crawlies and animals that make their way into my home, the supreme teller of stories for both my childhood and my children's, the fountain of both useless and useful information. The man who helped to show me that I am capable of anything I set my mind to and helped me to become the strong independent person I am today. The adored most wonderful grandad to our two beautiful boys who now gets to take care of our darling Frankie for us until we can all be together again one day.

I will be taking time out away from work for the next month or so to enable me to both process everything that has happened and to help us adjust as a family to life without him. Also to get dad's bits and pieces in order. Potentially i will be looking to return back to mid to late october but once i know for definite and am able to start taking bookings again i will update you all via Facebook to confirm.

Pammy will not be working anymore whilst she takes time out to care for her Dad Bob. All prebooked appointments for August will be contacted individually to be cancelled and when she is able and ready to return to work we will post on Facebook to let you all know. We are uncertain as to whether September appointments will be affected but will let you know in due course. Thank you all for your understanding at this incredibly difficult time.

Hi everyone, this is a post I didn't want to have to write but to update you all my dad has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, as his sole carer I have a lot on my plate at the moment not just caring for him but also my children, he has a large volume of appointments and a lot are last minute which means I am having to cancel a lot of my appointments last minute and am struggling to rebook an already full diary with the added complications of not knowing how well he will be whilst undergoing palliative treatment. I will do my best to rebook you if I have to cancel as soon as I possibly can. Anyone without an appointment pre booked please be aware I have no spaces now until mid/late September. Thank you for your understanding xx

Yes please to starting that grooming process early. Get used to brushing at home and understand the skin. My webinar with Jo Angus will help you with maintenance of the coat and skin. https://www.animallovepetfirstaid.co.uk/educational-webinars

It is so very important to start early, also the groomer/dog relationship will be a more united one if you introduce them as soon as possible.

Please do not leave these poor dogs to get matted and dislike something that is important for them for the rest of their lives. It may seem like its just hair, but that hair needs to be cared for to help skin health.

Wishing all our amazing customers the happiest of New year's for 2022, a huge thank you to all of you that have supported us this year, without you we would simply not have survived so thank you so so much ### Pammy will be back in the salon tomorrow getting organised for reopening Tuesday after a lovely Christmas break with the family and will be returning all calls, messages and rebooking for the year ahead. The lovely little Jasper and the gorgeous gentleman that is Percy came in for a good bath and a de-shed to remove all that loose coat. It's definitely shedding season! The salon has been engulfed in snowstorms of hair the last few weeks 🤣🤣🤣

*covid* hi everyone just to update you all my husbands lateral flow test on Sunday came back positive, his pcr test results have come back confirming the results so it means we are isolating until the 27th July. My lateral flows have all been negative so far so there is no concern for anyone who has been at the salon and it means that josie can continue to groom her clients. I have contacted everyone who has been affected and I will be in touch either on the 27th to rebook you in or earlier if I develop symptoms or get a positive lateral flow test so you know the situation. Once I am back rest assured I will be working evenings and weekends to get everyone affected groomed as quickly as possible. Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding xx

**Restriction changes on Monday** - Hi everyone, just to let you know that despite restrictions lifting we will be continuing to operate as we have been over the last 12 months, the only difference being that your dogs collar and lead may remain in the salon and it will be put in our U.V steriliser whilst it is with us. The numbers are still rising and by keeping to strict appointment times and having the door locked inbetween we can limit contact as much as possible. We would prefer if you could still wear a mask on drop off as our shop is small and of course if you or anyone in your household has symptoms or a positive covid test please contact us and we will rearrange your appointment.
