BRC Horse Trials!
What an absolutely fantastic weekend Solihull have had at the BRC HT qualifiers, every section we competed in, we qualified! I'm sure Caroline will update on her teams but for the seniors we had two 90cm and one 100cm team.
First up the Martini's 90 team of Amanda Mitchell, Hilary Walker, Imogen Addison and Connie Gould WON the class 🏅🥇, with Connie coming 1st individually, Amanda 3rd, Imogen 7th and Hilary 9th, fantastic achievements!
We also had the Bellini's made up of Sarah Shepheard, Hannah Wilson, Atlanta Morton and Anna Honnor, they came 3rd overall with Sarah individual 5th and Hannah 6th! Another fantastic set of results.
Finally came our 100cm team, made up of Abi Castle, Jade Atherton, Lisa Oakes and Connie Gould. Connie smashed it yet again with individual 4th and a qualification. Abi came 6th, which was quite the achievement on a 5yo she's never competed before! Jade 7th, again a cracking result for her first eventing run this season and Lisa 11th, who has just made the step up to 100cm HT so much more to come from this team!
I want to say a big thanks to all those who ride for SRC, we honestly have the most wonderful group of riders who provide constant laughs and a lovely day out. If you have ever thought about joining in please get in touch and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have!

Yet another fantastic day for the Solihull teams at the BRC Horse Trials!
Our super 80cm team of only three started the day putting in some incredible rounds resulting in a 1st for Lydia Joyce, 2nd for Connie Gould (first time out for a new combination) and 10th for Catherine Felgate - Team 1st!! An amazing achievement given that the 80cm is one of the most hotly contested classes and with only three riders, off to Champs they go!
Next up we had two 90cm teams, the Bellinis made up of Atlanta Morton, Hilary Walker, Evey Hadley and Sarah Moore all put in some solid performances and came out as the team on top, yet another champs qualification including an individual 3rd place for Sarah!
Our second team of Hannah Wilson, Charlie Kingston-Cox (Julia Kingston-cox) and Evey on her other ride came 3rd with some cracking rounds.
Finally we had our 100cm+ team, again only 3 so no pressure 🤣 our wonderfully consistent team of Abi Castle, Jade Atherton and Beccy Squire stormed round to take the win and yet another champs qualification! I want to give a shout-out to Abi and Sir Euroman who took the class win, she has worked tirelessly over the last 3 years with Darcy and deserved today so much!
So, another wonderful day for Solihull, I am so proud of all involved and thank the team at SRC for running a great event. As always a huge thanks to our team sponsors, Aspen Cooling for all their support!
Next up we have showjumping qualifiers on the 30th&31st July, hopefully will see lots of you there!

Sarah Moore in the 90cm came 9th individually in a huge class taking on a tricky course, mega well done!
Catherine Felgate, Lauren Munton, Eva Keeley and Emily-Joy Clemett came an incredible team 3rd today. They all rode fantastic rounds on a course which saw more eliminations than finishes! Individual 9th for Cat as well to top off a wonderful weekend.

CHAMPS WEEKEND!
A huge well done to the eight combinations who represented Solihull on Friday at the Winter Intermediate Show Jumping Championships.
The 100cm team of Hannah Wilson & Percy, Connie Gould & Alice, Abi Castle & Darcy and Atlanta Morton & Pumpkin all rode some lovely rounds round big, technical courses. Most of the horses hadn't seen an indoor like Bury Farm before and they all coped really well. Looking forward to the summer qualifiers to try and qualify again! A shout out to Josh Mitchell (Amanda Mitchell) and Michelle Whieldon for helping the team to qualify in the first place.
The 110cm team also rode fantastically round a course which produced ONE triple clear over the entire class! Jade Atherton & Bella, Betty Baker & Smokey (Sally Victoria Baker), Beccy Squire & Darcey and Abi Castle & Captain all jumping lovely rounds, this time both rounds indoor in the spooky arena! Well done to Abi Castle & Darcy for their individual wild card as well, a lovely round to finish off the day. Team 7th 🎉

Combined Challenge!
It was great to welcome a number of new members and combinations this weekend, hoping to see you all out again soon!
First up we had the 70cm team of Catherine Felgate & Basil, Maggie Johnson & Mary, Eva Keeley & Woody and Emily-Joy Clemett & Amber. Four fantastic rounds meant team 2nd place. HUGE well done to Catherine for her individual 3rd place, not an easy task in a big class! Thank you to our individual entry Millie Wharton for her support of the teams.
Next up was our 80cm teams there were some great rounds over the two teams, a big well done to Lauren Bosworth on her Ind 6th place! Congratulations to all other competitors on their rounds, Jess Davenport with both her rides, Shambally Beauty & Gangland Braveheart, Jo Manicom & Gannaway Bay, Amanda Mitchell & Renkum Vareem, Anna Honnor & Nora and Eva Keeley & Gitana Lady. Well done to individual rider Charlotte Crump for her first competition for SRC, many more to come!
Next up we had our 90cm team who all rode fantastic rounds to secure team 3rd! The team was made up of Charlie Kingston-Cox & Conair Contender, Sarah Moore & Little John, Hilary Walker & Hudson and Lisa Perkins & DS Handsome. Big well done to Sarah for her individual 3rd and Charlie for her 5th place!
Finally to close the day we had our 100cm team, team 2nd! Fantastic DC for Abi Castle & Darcy to secure ind 2nd place! Another great DC for Hannah Wilson & Percy for 5th, plus 3rd rider Atlanta Morton who rode a great round.
Super weekend of competition, I'm sure we can all agree the course the SRC team put together was fantastic, if you didn't compete this weekend I highly recommend getting there this week to train over it!

Looking for a rider at each height for the BRC Combined Challenge qualifier on 3rd April (70,80,90&100cm), this is a short course of show jumps straight onto a short course of XC fences, all on grass in the members field. Qualifying for Aston Le Walls, let Jess Clemett know if you're interested!
COMBINED CHALLENGE - BRC QUALIFIER
The Combined Challenge is a combination of SJ & XC (approx 6-8 fences of each) on grass in the members field at SRC, it is a qualifier for Aston Le Walls. Due to this being a rescheduled date I have some teams already entered but there is time for more, please see the attached schedule but heights start at 70cm and finish at 100cm.
