Living in a peaceful environment on the edge of the Sussex downs. Striving to create a unique group of the stunning black animals with carefully selected genetics, that produce fibre that is recognised for its fineness and luxurious feel. y with the females' offspring giving us a group of black females that carry these strong genetics. Our females are strong framed animals so that they can carry a large quantity of luxurious fibre and produce strong and healthy cria. Black being the most challenging of colours, our goal is to breed one of the finest black herds in the country. To date over 60 alpacas have been born at Redens.

Congratulations to Teri, Shaun and Taylor of Bingfield alpacas on their purchase of Redens Dynamic the 2022 BAS National Black Male Huacaya Champion. We are delighted that Bingfield alpacas have decided to add this very special male to their up and coming herd especially as they already have a lovely Dynamic cria. We wish Teri, Shaun and Taylor great success with Dynamic's progeny and hope he will sire many champions for them. We will be sad to loose this special boy but know we will be kept up to date with his progress.

Do you have land and are thinking of starting your alpaca journey, then we will be happy to talk and guide you. We have been breeding alpacas since 2009 and enjoy passing on our knowledge and experience to new alpaca owners. Alpacas are fairly easy to look after as long as you get the basics right - good secure fencing, access to fresh water, good nutritious grass, freely available hay, and the correct amount of supplementary hard feed containing the minerals to match their native grazing conditions in the high Andes. They also must have a hut or shelter to protect them from we conditions so they can escape from driving rain and have somewhere safe to shelter. In addition they need vitamin D supplementation during the winter months.
