Charlotte’s Animal Services was established in 2019 by Charlotte after wanting to continue to work with animals following the development of a chronic health condition. Charlotte r
ealised from owning her own chickens it presented a problem of who was going to look after them while on holiday. This lead to the initial idea while looking into different animal business and home boarding specializing in small animals was born with the help of the Princes Trust Enterprise program. Charlotte has had a range of pets over the years and worked with the Riding for the disabled. As well as working on commercial farms. She also holds a Diploma in Pet Sitting & Dog Walking as well as level 3 Certificate in Farm Animal Care & Welfare. As well as animal care services the business expanded in 2020 to offer pet presents and gifts which can be purchased from the website or contact Charlotte for Bespoke Presents. FAMILY TIME 👨👩👧👧
Sunday afternoon saw a break from jobs in the sunshine with a trip down the road to our local icream parlour. It was nice to see the sun after washing out chicken coops in the rain showers this morning.
Homemade ice cream🍦 made on the farm. Even the family hound Oscar 🐶 enjoyed a doggy ice cream. He had a few licks before he was allowed to finish at home 🏡 as he is a messy pup and likes to take out the pot to eat. None was left in the pot was all licked out.
They also have a milk vending machine and cafe with great brownies for anyone fancying a visit.

We are looking for a new team member.
Are you an RVN or VCA looking for a change from normal practice life? We are a small, but busy independent small animal practice. We are a mobile vet providing 1st opinion veterinary services to Selby and the surrounding area. Enjoy a variety of duties, which are shared equally amongst our friendly and dedicated nursing team. We have surgical facilities including x-ray machine, in house lab and portable ultrasound machine.
Enjoy driving around semi rural Yorkshire, taking time to get to know our clients and patients without rushing through consults.
The right candidate would ideally be comfortable carrying out sole charge nurse appointments and nurse clinics, they would also have good communication and IT skills. A clean driving licence is a must. Full time and part time hours available. Including weekdays and 1:3 Saturdays 9am - 12pm. Salary dependant on experience. Dear Runaround supporters,
It is with deepest regret to announce that Runaround will close on 31/05/2024.
In the light of increased cost of raw materials and a cost-of-living crisis the business has become unsustainable, and we are faced with no option but to cease supply.
We still believe in what Runaround and its products stand for, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and all small animals deserve suitable housing to stretch out, explore, relax, and binky.
We encourage all Runaround customers and small animal owners to continue searching for suitable small animal housing, and our blogs will remain live on the Runaround website to educate owners on the correct ways to house small animals.
Runaround will continue to trade as normal until 31/05/2024, with last orders to be placed by 27/05/2024. Stock is extremely limited, but we will do our very best to accommodate all customer needs with our remaining stock.

Today started with the usual waterproofs and wellies but it was a different kinda of animals today. Thanks to a special friend of many years I spent the day with these lovely pet lambs 🐑. A day on the farm filled me with joy to end the Easter holidays coming to an end back to the day job on Monday no animals just students.
Some of you will know farm life was my life before I hurt my back and started the business when I was struggling to find out what I can do. Life maybe different know but it was great to take a step back.
Today ended with seeing a Lamb being born.
New mandatory registration requirements are to be implemented for bird keepers in Great Britain.
Under these rules, all bird owners are required to register their birds annually 🦆
This will help manage potential disease outbreaks like and keep your flock healthy 💚
By registering, owners will receive crucial updates and guidance for bird care.

This gorgeous pair visited the practice for their annual Myxomatosis and rabbit viral haemorrhagic disease vaccinations.
Bobby is the handsome brown and Benji the gorgeous grey 🥰. These five year old boys got a clean bill of health and were as good as gold for their check up 🌟.
