𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗦𝗣𝗕 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝗚𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗡 𝗕𝗜𝗥𝗗𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛‼️ 🐦🦜🕊

The Big Garden Birdwatch is an annual event where people take part in a nationwide survey of birds. It takes place over one weekend in January each year and is the UK's biggest citizen science wildlife survey!

People all over the UK spend one hour over the course of the weekend counting the birds they see land in their garden and submit their results online, which helps the RSPB understand how bird populations change over the years, and also sparks conversation where data may show certain birds are struggling and use that information to help them out how they can!

Song Thrushes are a favourite of the garden birds, with their sweet song and upside down heart markings on their chests!

As a rule, they don't tend to use feeders or feeding trays, much preferring to eat from the ground... so a sprinkle of some tasty suet pellets could very well entice them into your garden for a snack! 👀

Who doesn't love a ?! Their unmistakable red breast certainly will make them easy to spot this !🐦

All throughout the year, many of us see them frequent our gardens for food.
The Robin is a bird who prefers ground feeding, so is more likely to visit a feeding table rather than standard bird feeder... they are known to absolutely adore the taste of mealworms, live or dried, and will eat suet, too!

Male bullfinches are not easy to miss, with their pinkish breast and cheeks brightening up the garden... they do particularly enjoy fresh tree buds, but when there aren't many around, they are partial to a few sunflower hearts!

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀' 𝗽𝗮𝘄𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁 - According to our local council website, most of our roads have been gritted in the last couple of days. Salt grit can be harmful to our dogs' paws, and sock shoes are an excellent way to protect them from it!

We have various designs and sizes available in store, so if your dog won't sit to let you wash their paws after every walk, the booties are a great alternative!
