Miloβs second puppy groom π
Miloβs second puppy groom π
Regular grooming sessions every few weeks after your puppy is fully vaccinated are so important, the younger they experience new things like the grooming process the more likely they are to settle in to the process.
Every puppy is different and the process should be tailored to their individual needs, Please listen to your groomers recommendations on how often they need to visit and work on any sections of the grooming they maybe struggling with at home also, I like to give homework on each session.
Getting your dog use to the grooming process is equally an at home experience as it is in the salon so if you are getting a new puppy that requires grooming be prepared to visit the salon regularly and to put in the work brushing and desensitizing at home too, A good dog is a partnership between owner, groomer, vet and trainer and is essential for a well rounded, happy dog in later life. πΎ

π Asian Muzzles made simple π
π Asian Muzzles made simple π
π Think of the nose as the center of a clock and comb hair to each number to scissor.
π Clear hair on top lip and under nose, No hair here should be longer than the lip line.
π Clear corners of eyes and one line across bridge of nose in line with inside corners of eyes.
π Pick widest point of muzzle in line with outside corner of eye or dogs ear set depending on style and size of dog.
π Curve bottom of muzzle to create a βSmileβ from lip to widest point,
π Cut a straight line on the top of the muzzle looking in line with the inside corners of the dogs eyes, So it covers the inside corner.
π Use blenders to build layers in to the muzzle to help the shape hold work straight out from the nose then gently round front corners.
π Curve from widest point to straight line on top with your scissors placed behind the muzzle to curve the muzzle forward from behind and to clear the dogs vision from the size.
π The muzzle should be curved and rounded from

π Price Increase π
As of Dec 1st there will be a Β£5 price increase on all services for regular clients.
(Some newer clients may already be on my new price, please contact me if you recently joined me and are unsure if this will apply)
I know a price increase is never good news, especially Β£5 but I have tried my best since opening the salon 3 years ago to keep my prices as low as possible and have only increased by a few pounds each year.
Unfortunately after absorbing the raising cost of bills, products and equipment for the past year it is absolutely necessary for me to do a larger price increase to keep the salon running as it normally does. This increase is still not in line with national inflation so I am doing my best to provide a quality service still at the lowest prices possible.
If you do not wish to keep any future appointments due to the price increase please do let me know asap.
Thanks for your understanding
Lisa.

Itβs here, My most requested webinar, In two weeks watch and interact as I demonstrate A cockerpoo in a salon Teddy trim using a mix of comb attachments and scissoring to show how to block in shape and get that perfect finish for a cute pet style on even the most difficult wavy coats.
My model Gerry (seen in the video) has a full but wavy body coat and straight muzzle hair with a wavy topknot, I could show you on a perfect Wool coated cockerpoo but we all know that isnβt what we struggle with, itβs unpredictable mixed coats.
