Monday mooching down Watergate and Washingwell. The thawing has began and the place was muddy! The lads did their best to collect as much dirt as they could and shake it about. Pedro was full of zoomies and Billy just watched on...judging 👀 😂

Fun day Friday done and dusted! Just Sizzles and Hugo today but they didn't mind! A rare trip to watergate/washingwell provided them with some lovely frozen whiffs and they were nose to the ground for the first 10 mins!!! Sizzles dipped her paws in the stream and went no further....Hugo didn't give 2 hoots and barrelled in despite my warning!
We don't often do ball time as it can create carnage but ball is life for these 2 and I thought it might warm them up and stop them forming icicles!!! Seemed to work....all dry, no icy coats and clean paws! Winner!!

Well what can I say??? An uneventful carcass free walk!! Harvey carried a log about instead of a leg or some random chunk of rotten flesh 😂😂but Arla still tried to get it , Pedro chased Hugo about for spinning and being black ( loves to police black dogs 😂😂) and Billy turned his beard in to icicles by going in the stream the plonker! Definitely a kinder on the nose kind of walk 😂😍

What a hump day today was!! It all started well with Pedro plodding about doing his thing, Sizzles, Rocco and Arla playing chase and Billy and Harvey biffing about then.....the rotted carcass happened! It was black and humming and easily rag dolled apart ( by Harvey obviously 😂), Arla was all over it ( literally) having a good old roll on the chunks that Harvey dropped during his grab and run! Both were minging and stinking of rotted dead thing when they got back to the van....carnage ensued when Harvey then gassed the pooches out by barfing his buffet and breakfast up in the van 🫣😂😂😂.
Never a dull moment with this lot and their shenanigans!

Tuesday at hedley hall woods was like a death trap 😂 hard crunchy snow, mud or ankle breaking ice!!
The pooches loved it....Harvey excelled himself by carrying the chunk of trunk he found on arrival for 50 mins of the walk and still managing to fit a twig in too for part of it! He dropped it to roll in carcass so had a stinky head...but looked proud of himself for his efforts....he was rewarded with a hosing😂😂.
Arlas belly was thankfully bigger than her eyes when she spotted 2 deer but decided my venison lung chunks were a better option. Billy managed to come home covered in mud despite 90% of the walk being frozen....ah its a talent! Home and thawing out now!

Brrrr 🥶 bit of a cold one to ease me into 2025! Just the bovver bruvvers today and they loved it 😂😂. Pedro just zoomed everywhere and even bullied me for a treat or 2 by bouncing off my legs randomly. Billy was like Tigger, bouncing about everywhere barking and howling ( not like Tigger). I wasn't cut any slack for only having 2 legs and was given a disapproving look when I nearly did the splits on an ice bit and told off by the pair of them....sorry lads 😬😂😂

Last walk of 2024!!! The pooches were all on their best behaviour....Harvey collected sticks instead of deer carcass, Sizzles didn't roll in anything stinky, Billy was quiet as a bit under the weather still and Hugo did happy spinning. Nice walk to end the year!
Thanks to everyone for our Christmas gifts, much appreciated!

A jaunt round Hedley Hall Woods this morning for the pooches. Harvey found the deer carcass again....Arla joined him. A retrieval of the retriever was required 😂🙈 after Arla came back ( probably cos she couldn't get any!)....they've been warned that Santa's watching and he might not be impressed with their attempts to eat Rudolph's cousin!! The rest behaved ( possibly smug at not being reminded about the naughty list)🫣😂😂

Hump day in chopwell woods for the pooches. The sun was out and everyone was happy. A different walk gave them lots of whiffs and sniffs. Lovely walk

A damp Tuesday morning in Hedley Hall Woods so they went for a plodge and swim to get wetter 😂
Lots of whiffs to sniff at, a few crazy runs by Pedro, no poo rolling by Arla and no barking like a mad dog by Billy.....Winning !!!!

A nice jaunt around watergate and washingwell woods today. Fallen trees to inspect, plodging, p*e-mails and the dreaded rickety wooden bridge to cross. The lads had a lovely morning

A grey morning in the woods with these guys. They loved exploring the sights and smells of a different place. They couldn't resist a plodge/swim and almost ran themselves dry again.

A full house in Chopwell woods today. After a night of keeping his pawrents up puking deer neck, Harvey was full of beans and happy as always 🫣😂. Pedro was in sport mode jumping tree trunks and pumping those lil legs of his. Rocco was happy plodging in dirty ditches and keeping up with Pedro 😂. Arla was loving the new sniffs in the trees. Sizzles was bouncing about like a loon and Billy was on squirrel watch! A nice uneventful walk for us today....yay😂😂😂! ( no deer were consumed in today's walk or 💩rolled in....winner Wednesday!!😂😂)

Tuesday was.....interesting 🙈and definitely a walk of 2 halves. We had fun runs, sniffs, squirrel chases, plodges, woodland exploring and swims.....then carnage 🙈😂....we had leash walks, collar slips, cloth lugs, squabbles, a forest feast of dead deer and Indiana Jones style whacking of undergrowth with swear words and twigs in hair to get the "feasters" away from their hairy buffet! All pooches leash walked back to van whereby I looked like I'd been dragged through a bush backwards😫🙈😂....indeed it was clattering through them forwards that did the bird nest hair and branches to face but the saying was apt...I looked a treat! 🥴
Phew, glad don't get many of those walks....settee bound with kindle and cuppa....over and out🫣🫠

A quiet start to the week for Pedro and Bill. They had a good mooch about down watergate and the woods...they're still not keen on the rickety plank bridge but they faced it head on in order to get muddier, scale a million steps, p*e on as many mole hills as possible, find 2 balls and lose one and then have another plodge in the stream to clean up. The clean up didn't work as Pedro was absolutely not getting more than his paws wet unless it was mud and Billy insisted on barrelling into every manky puddle straight after getting clean😂😂🙈

A lovely couple of hours in the woods, with Buster joining us, to end the week. Lots of p*e-mails to check and reply to, muddy puddles, muddy ditches and muddy paths to plough through 🙈, a few chases and a swim or two rounded up the week nicely! Can't beat a big, long walk in the fresh air to blow the cobwebs away. Have a fab weekend guys.
